She has created many different mangas, centering on the themes of love, sex, and general romance. She debuted in 1994 in Shōjo Comic with "Anata no Iro ni Somarita" ("I Want to Be Dyed Your Color"), after which she created a flurry of other sexy stories. From 1994 to 2007, she wrote for Shogakukan, with her work frequently appearing in the magazines Shōjo Comic and Cheese!. Shinjo is best known for her mangas that put teenage girls into titillating situations with more handsome, older looking men. Her stories borderline hentai, but are more of a soft ecchi. In the United States, she is most famous for her manga Sensual Phrase (Kaikan Phrase), which has been made into both drama CDs and an anime television series. Though Himeno looks like a normal child she hides a secret: whenever a man's hand touches her heart, she feels pain. At the mansion she meets the son of the master, Mamoru and she is surprised since she doesn't feel any pain when he touches her. They promise each other to go see Mamoru's horse. When she arrives at the barn she meets a really fierce boy named Keigo who also came to the mansion to work. He calls Himeno over to help with the horses but poor Himeno gets bitten by a snake while trying to get water. Meanwhile, Mamoru goes looking for Himeno and the workers at the barn say they saw Himeno run off to a place infested with deadly snakes and wild dogs. Himeno is surrounded by dogs but like a knight, Keigo saves her on horseback. She thinks that if she comes into contact with Keigo her heart would hurt, but she doesn’t feel any pain at all. Afterwards, Keigo takes care of Himeno's wound before she faints. Himeno dreams of her father who gave her the name Himeno hoping she would find her Prince Charming, just like a princess. A really dark-skinned doctor appears and the doctor finds out that Himeno has a heart shape on her chest. The doctor seems to be scheming some evil plan. Over the next few years, Himeno grows up peacefully. At the new school, Himeno meets Keigo again and Keigo tells her that in her heart there is a dormant rock that can make any wish come true and that she would be attacked by every man in the world at the heart and the body. Keigo is the one that is destined to protect Himeno. Yes, Ribon; a manga whose target readers are usually girls who are in their teens. We have been given a gist of the series’ plot but as far as I could say, this would be a lot different than Shinjo Mayu’s other works. Why? It’s because Shinjo Mayu is a popular mangaka whose works are oriented towards older readers. Yup, her works would mostly contain smut; an example would be Kaikan Phrase, Ai Ore and more. - Animeblips <strong>☆ Yometore! ☆ Year: 2005 Genre: Comedy, Shoujo, Romance Summary: None as of yet</strong> <img src="http://jpqueen.com/images/pimg0806161/86364o.jpg" border="0" /> I thought I should mention Yometore! too since it isn't that well known right now. But it's also kinda new in the sense that it hasn't been translated yet even though it was released in 2005. <strong>Light Novel</strong> <img src="http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/cover_b/200804/200804000116.jpg" border="0" /><img src="http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/3395/akumanosonetotn6.jpg" border="0" /> Even though this is a bit old and since no one mentioned it, Bike Akuma ~ Akuma no Soneto Keiyakushi wa nai!? ~ A LIGHT NOVEL illustrated by Mayu Shinjo and written by Chihiro Kurihara did go on sale In October of 2008. The second book is titled Akuma no Soneto ~Danshikô de Himitsu no Shôkan~ will also be on sale. This series of short stories will be of the Romantic and Fantasy genre.
