No, but seriously. Anime is not targeted at children, except for Miyazaki and similar fare, but it is mostly targeted at teenagers. The concept of Seinen and Josei manga is mostly targeted at man- and women-children, and most of the time no anime actually justifies its choice of the comic / animation form. There are exceptions, of course, but these are few and far between.
