Luminous Arc Club

Information
Not really sure what to put here... hmm... If anybody has the art book scanned, could you please post it? I'm interested in it, and I'm sure other members would be.

I really think Luminous Arc would make a great anime.

is it just me or does Claugh Klom from legend of the legendary heroes look like leon from LA1?

Well technically speaking, DS carts are available in 2 and 4 gigs as well, it's just that no one uses them. Off the top of my head I can only recall ASH using the 2 gig one (it had quite a bit of VA and really nice FMVs....really is too bad we never got it). So I'm really not surprised to hear that 3DS carts will have 2 or more gigs as the standard size.

In more related news, I've completely given up on Atlus bringing over LA3. I hope somehow Aksys or XSEED can localize it for us instead.

heard theres a rumour that cartridges for 3DS is gonna be like gigabytes, maybe theres room for more than 1 language, or just more content?

Looks like LA3 isn't coming to North America. :(

Prove me wrong Atlus!

@soaring_wings:
Second playthrough. It's your standard Atelier game - if you've played the originals, not spinoffs. Battle system isn't very deep but the whole focus on the game is alchemy and the locale's economy. It's also got a colourful cast. If you're into collectathons or a completionist, I recommend it.

Oh lawd, I still have my Playstation copy of this.

@TheWanderingEye: How is Annie? I've been meaning to pick it up, but I've just got too many good games I still need to buy.

Also, I don't mean to be hard on NISA. They usually do a great job...just sometimes, they screw up (which is why someone could be worried if this were localized by NISA). Like the Rhapsody DS port. There were glitches and some extra content was cut. Sure we had Japanese audio, but I actually felt the English audio (originally done by Atlus for the PS1 game when NISA didn't exist) was much better. The only Japanese VA that I thought was bearable was Marjoly. The Prince and Cornet didn't sound as nice in Japanese. (Probably because this game was a budget game even in Japan and they didn't have the money to get really talented singers). Not to say they sounded bad, just that I thought the English VAs were better. And no, I didn't hear the english VAs first (never had the original game), I looked the songs up on Youtube just to compare them out of curiosity.

Alright sorry for going offtopic ^^;;;;;

Funny that you bring up NIS America. I think the last game I bought from them was Atelier Annie, and they just did without dubs. It's a pretty niche franchise over here anyways.

@Bladeguy:
They could do this, but it would have to be horribly down-sampled to fit the cart. In that case you'd probably just switch voices off entirely. Also, expanding the cart is out of the question from a business/production point of view.
