Shows that had Potential but were Mishandled

Information
Ever watched a show that has sooooo much potential to be great, a masterpiece even, but ends up being eye gougingly bad or mediocre? This club is for you. Too many times I've seen potential for improvement in things that suffer from pacing issues, or bad voice acting, or poor characterization, etc. Sometimes it's just a seed in an otherwise bad show, sometimes it's a great show that starts a downward spiral into a hell of suckage due to catching up to the manga or a lack of funds or the director going insane, and sometimes it's a small thing in a good series that keeps it from being great. Come join us and talk about your frustration before you go axe-murderer insane with frustration. Examples of Shows That so should have been more: Claymore: probably the worst example of this phenomenon in History. Alison to Lillia Myself Yourself Peacemaker Blood + Noir Night Wizard Maburaho Kiba Jyu Ou Sei Also, feel free to include shows that lacked proper or good endings in with the bunch.

Just watched Yozakura Quartet. It fits the criterion for this club.

Looked like it had potential; It didn't live up to it at all. It was a great example of a series that was terribly mishandled to the point where it was a frustrating, anger inducing waste of time. The manga is, apparently, much much better. I strongly recommend against this anime, as it will cause nothing but hurt.

I concur with you on 2-4, but I quite enjoyed GunxSword. Sure, there were a few things I would have changed, but over all I felt the series worked with itself, and had a fairly strong internal consistency.

Then again, I might just like it because I was thrilled to death to see an anime where the revenge motive wasn't painted in a bad light. I've become so tired of Trigun like messages of peace and pacifism. I felt that very idea was the main weakness behind Trinity Blood, actually. I feel as though if you have to kill a bad guy to save a bunch of people, then you should do it (within reason). If you let a bunch of innocent people die just so you can retain your place on that flimsy moral soapbox yo'uve built just so you can feel yourself special, you're no better than the people killing them.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!
other ex:
-GunxSword
-King of Bandit
-Samurai Deeper Kyo

-Berserk, but this ending was because of money problems
it wasn't an ending actually, it can be continued in the future as well.
