Information Tedious.Tedious.Tedious. That's all I could think as I was changing the names on photoshop project after photoshop project for my first edition. As I was dying from how repetitive it was, my dim coding brain thought, if it's so repetitive, couldn't we use something to automate the process. After some research, I stumbled upon Scripts. Scripts basically tell Adobe Photoshop what to do, so we can use them to automate repetitive processes. And that's what I did. All the cards that I made for Red Vs. Blue Week 1 was made automatically through a script that I personally wrote. However, writing those scripts not only require some coding knowledge, it's almost as tedious and repetitive as changing the names on the card yourself. That's when I thought: Well, if making the script is also repetitive, can't I use something to automate the process of writing a script as well. That's what this program aims to do. At it's heart, it seeks to automate the process of writing a script that will automate the process of naming your cards. In this way, it allows people who don't know how to code to make scripts and saves the time of writing the script for those who do. I wrote this program using java meaning to run it you need java. >-< If you don't have it, I won't force you to, but it'd be great if you could just download it from here: Windows x64|macOS x64 Also, you need Adobe Photoshop. You can get some free versions from this MAL thread. Once you have java and adobe downloaded, you're all ready to go and you can download the latest version of my program from here Your computer will probably say my program is dangerous. It's true that people can use java to do bad things, but I promise that my program poses no threat at all. There are two ways to use my program. An experimental automatic method and a slower manual method. First, you open up the psd files you'll be naming through File->Open PSDs. Then, you pick your method. >Manual: add (card)users and drag and drop the psds into their list< >Automatic: File->Read Webpage and copy and paste the entire card requests page into the program. I suggest reading the detailed Automatic method explanation< Take this time, to edit your psd's settings. Click on any of the psds and it will bring up a settings panel where you can edit the character limit (max characters allowed for a name) and replace word (the word from your text layers that is replaced with somebody's name) When you're users are all added, and their lists contain the right psds, navigate to File>Save Script. You will be prompted to select the folder where you will save your cards. (I heavily suggest making a folder for them perhaps on your Desktop.) Once you've selected your folder, your script will be saved. Simply open Photoshop, navigate to File->Scripts and click on RenameMalCards and watch the magic happen. ^-^ Club Members Club Pictures No pictures have been uploaded
