Shadow Eclipse is a player-driven roleplay club where it is up to the decisions of the group of player-characters on how this story progresses and ends. If you're here because you wish to join us, then glad to have you. However, please try to be friendly and somewhat active. Otherwise, you'll have no place here. Thank you for your time and enjoy!
Act 1: Saturday, January 19th, 2030. It was 21 minutes after midnight. On that day, at that time, the world stood still and it has been this way for 5 years and counting... Of course, it wasn't like everyone caught on immediately. It was once people noticed that the days weren't changing that they began to really panic. The smart ones directed their attention to scientists, sure that they had an explanation for what was going on...but, they were as clueless as the general public initially. Eventually, though, data was collected about what people started calling 'the event'...but, it didn't spell anything hopeful. Basically, the earth itself had ceased turning, yet it continues to orbit the earth. This results in the southern half of the earth always in constant sunlight while the northern half indefinitely facing away from the sun. One positive is that the moon would still orbit the earth normally somehow, creating more possibilities for eclipses for the countries south of the equator. Yet, the negatives range from never-ending winters in the north to the eventual collapse of many ecosystems there as well, thus leading to the extinction of many animals and most plants being unable to grow. Quite of bit of those plants are desperately needed as many contain ingredients for medicine that could mean the difference between life and death for a little over a billion people. So, in a nutshell... ...it was an apocalyptic event. Act 2: Over the next year, with the collapses of the ecosystems in northern parts of the world, most who could afford to leave fled to southern nations like South America, South Africa, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia, and other places south of the equator. Unfortunately, for those who were poor, unable to travel, or had a reason for why they couldn’t leave, they were stuck in the north with resources dwindling and mass famine following afterwards. Most starved to death while others, who fell sick from the cold conditions, couldn’t get the medicine they needed to survive and died from it. This all resulted in the economy in these nations plummeting and a harsher great depression set in that was much worse than the 1930s. Meanwhile, the U.S, European, Asian, and Russian governments, needing to save themselves from what could spell the end to their nations, had no other choice than to take what was needed from the countries that had it. Russia was the first to move, pushing into Indonesia and easily forcing them to surrender the land to them. The United States and European countries, taking this as an opportunity (since Russia technically broke many international laws with the invasion), sent troops into Indonesia to combat the Russian forces. The U.S went a step further and promised South American nations protection from Russia in exchange for valuable resources necessary to support their troops, which a lot of them agreed to. The UK, in turn, offered the same protection to countries like Australia and New Zealand, which was also accepted. This began something akin to a world war... ...actually, no. It WAS a World War. Act 3: In the end, while nuclear weapons were thankfully never used (despite threats and attempts thwarted by either side), billions perished in the struggle, ironically taking lives to safeguard their own. Russia was the one who won in the very end, dismantling all nations that opposed them and bringing in a brand-new world under the iron fist of Putin...but, his nation was weak from the war and he now had to rule over the remaining 4 billion people of the world he conquered. Very quick, anarchies became a common sight in parts of the planet and the Russian military stretched itself thin trying to maintain a world order...but, it ended up failing in the end and the people who had faith in the government became disgruntled by it. The suicide and homicide rates escalated and it was pretty obvious that society wasn’t far from total, irreversible collapse. People prayed to god for a savior, hoping that everything could be saved... ...and they got one. Enter Azrael Ptolemy, a man of European origin, who spoke of hopes and dreams. Alongside him was his personally created cult of 6 called ‘Catharsis’, whose goal was to eventually reform the earth into one that would benefit all citizens of it. He talked about our current survival up until now; Not just about the years since the world stopped turning, but about mankind itself from the time they lived in caves and fought the elements to survive all the way to when we built rocket ships to get into outer space. “Even as the world stands still, we shouldn’t let ourselves fall here. We should push forward to the future, like we’ve always done, and live forever despite it!” His captivating worlds were the exact things people needed to hear and that got a lot of them to believe in him. That cult quickly grew into a group that was targeted as terrorists...then, it soon became a national movement...which turned into a worldwide revolution for change. Before fighting could even begin, however, many soldiers of the Russian Military outright refused to fight and others joined the opposing side. With no way of getting out of this, the government surrendered and Catharsis claimed control of the world. In the following months, Azrael and his 6 original followers would divide up the world amongst themselves, reform society itself, and created new rules and measurements that took inspiration from the American Constitution and Bill of Rights. The main capitol of the new world nation would be Wellington, New Zealand, where Azrael would run the government from. The other 6 were placed in different parts of the southern hemisphere and tasked with several things in their own respective capitols. A new plan, called ‘Operation White Lily’, was revealed to the public and put into action. People would be relocated to one of the 7 nations and given work in order to meet the plan’s goal. Soon enough, people had homes, food on the table, jobs that paid well, and the stability in life that hasn’t been seen since before January 19th, 2030. It was indeed a much better world...but, of course, things are not as they seem. 
'Shadows' are remarkable, mystical abilities that 'bares one's heart to the world and uses it to forge a path forward.' A significant amount of blood, drawn by the user, is needed for the 'shadow self' to awaken, swallowing them whole and fusing with them to bring forth a physical manifestation of one's 'suppressed chaotic-ness.' Initially, upon awakening the Shadow, there will be an obvious lack of harmony between the user and shadow self; an imbalance, if you will. This is due to its suppression in the deepest and darkest part of the psyche. The resulting form will, of course, be weak until one gets use to and embraces it fully over time. Despite this, however, one with a creative mind could still utilize the weak Shadow in a number of ways that are still unexplained. Be warn, though, that the Shadow could overwhelm the user at any moment and, in the worst case scenario, make them lose control of themselves. This does irreversible damage to the brain, which could result in memory loss or brain death, but can also make the user harm him/herself and others. 
"I'll always love you, Soul!" She smiled. "Til the end of time." She smiled. "Even when we pass on, I'll be there in the afterlife." She smiled. See how that's annoying? Don't do it!
Character Creation Rules
1. In this RP, you will only be allowed to make 1 character.
2. You are not allowed to add powers or additional aspects of your power in the personality or bio of your character. Everything about any supernatural power of your character must be written in the power description.
3. After a character has been approved, it can't be deleted for 3 months once approved. You can request to delete it in PMs.
4. Once a character is requested for deletion, it won't be exactly deleted. It will be stored in a sort of Graveyard thread, where you can bring it back anytime.
5. Once a character is approved, the only things you can edit on the sheet is the Bio.
6. Make your characters original! Don't just take someone from an anime, movie, TV show, etc. and paste them here! (Pictures are fine though.)
Power Guideline
1. You can't make a power that takes control of anyone.
2. You can't make a power that allows you to read your opponent's mind.
3. You can't make a power that copies another person's power.
4. You can't make a power that nullifies another power.
5. You can't have a power that allows our character to see the future.
6. You can't have a power that teleports a character from one place to another.
7. You can't make a power that reminds me of One Punch Man. (By that, I mean don't make a power that makes you able to take down a person in one and/or a couple of hits.)
8. You can't make a power that goes against Rule 2 of the RPing rules list.
9. Most of all, don't make a power that is OP!
10. You can make a power that is similar to another person's power, but it can't be almost and/or the exact same.Club Members
