The Starside Hotel

Welcome, honored guests ! Rules: 1. Players who are actively taking part in the main game can’t take part in this one, unless they are eliminated. 2. Treat this minigame the same way you’d treat any other spectator chat, and don’t discuss any game events outside of it. 3. Each guest at the hotel starts out with 10 stars. Stars are the currency of the hotel, and can be wagered in order to win... more stars ! 4. Each phase change, a new series of bets (Daily Bets or Nightly Bets) will be made available to the denizens of the hotel. Players may wager any number of stars on these gambles, and the bigger the risk, the bigger the payoff ! Check the Betting Thread for more information. 5. Each player may only place one bet per phase, so choose carefully. Players are allowed to take back a bet if they change their mind, however they can only do this once per phase as well. 6. Players place bets by making posts in the Betting Thread. You may also see the OP of the Betting Thread to see the current bets that are available to place. 7. Let us now dissect how a bet will look like. Take a look at this example: The effect is pretty self-explanatory, simply follow the instructions and you will win the bet if you meet the conditions. Since this is a Daily Bet, it will be resolved at the start of the next Night. To find out how many stars you would win, multiply the payout by the number of stars wagered. For example, if I wagered 5 stars on a bet with a payout of 2x, I would get back a total of 5 * 2 = 10 stars. If I wanted to place this bet, and wager 5 stars that Crossbell is mafia (because he always is), it would look something like this: 8. In addition, at the start of each Day a special Bonus Bet will be made available. Unlike normal bets, Bonus Bets don’t require wagering any stars, and have a flat payoff of exactly 10 stars. Also, because they are considered bonuses, these bets don’t count towards the one-bet-per-phase restriction. 9. We reserve the right to cancel any bet that uses inside knowledge or knowledge based on the results of previous bets. 10. Finally, have fun and enjoy your stay. This is mandatory.
