Eden of the End

At the beginning of the year of 2081, humanity finally peaked. Every country in the world had become fully developed powerhouses, thriving under the ‘protection’ of either the UN or the Regime. Population growth had grown exponentially which, inevitably, brought about one last Great War. The third and final War lasted all of two days, killing one third of the human population as well as decimating half of all life on Earth. The nuclear fallout revived an era of ice, a Frozen Plague, which killed another half of all life on the planet. During June of the year 4222, Earth was once again recognizable, albeit slightly estranged from the formation of new continents. Humankind was brought to near extinction, but the ones who remained underground had continued the advancement of technology.

Two decades passed since the end of the Plague, and humankind discovered the world had changed significantly. A new continent formed on which all of humanity resided, this continent came to be called New Pangea. Every nation had been completely and utterly destroyed, leaving only ruins and relics of a distant past. The ocean had become the only place animal life existed. All traces of pollution were seemingly eradicated and new species of plants engulfed what used to be barren deserts. Soon enough leaders of the underground bunker network came together and made a peace treaty. Thus, the peace group called Eden was formed. This lead to further arrangements and treaties which shaped a new, evolved human race.

First contact was made during the year of 4305. Envoys of Heaven and Hell, both seemingly abandoned by their leaders, arrived on Earth believing the planet to be vacant. A settlement between the three worlds was arranged: New Heaven was created on Mars and New Hell found its place on Venus. Both worlds fell subject to terraforming experimentation, however, only Venus came out entirely successful.

One year after the agreement, Lucifer and the angel Gabriel made an astonishing discovery of a planet that paralleled Earth’s orbit around the Sun. Upon making a voyage to the planet, however, both disappeared, leaving only a taboo of traveling to a world clouded in shadows.
