Banding together with fellow seiyuu Shinichirou Miki, Tomokazu Seki, and Hiro Yuuki, Weiß kreuz originated as a radio drama. From there, their efforts increased into dramatic album selections, a 25 episode anime series and a two-part OVA. With the increasing popularity came the seiyuu unit Weiß, composed of the four original members and their band, Mind Dive. Although publicly disbanded soon after, they continued to work under the Project Weiß label, releasing a prequel spin-off drama, Crashers: Knight and Ran, and their last dramatic CD collection, Wish A Dream. The unit returned for Glühen, a new 13 episode anime series and dramatic set, which spawned the manga, Side B by Oomine Shouko.

Affiliated Clubs † Shinichiro Miki Fanclub † Tomokazu Seki Fans

Hi Kiseki-san...I'm sorry this answer is coming a year late, but I rarely log in here anymore either...

The original manga only had 2 volumes before it got dropped, so there wasn't a lot of time to tell if the stories would be very different. Overall they are similar, however there are definite changes. For example in the manga Aya went vigilante for a while after his sister's accident, and Kritiker recruited him after he'd already become an assassin on his own, I think in the anime it's implied he's recruited immediately and becomes an assassin at the same time he joins Weiss. In the manga Yohji is the one who starts calling Ran 'Aya' whereas in the anime it's implied that Aya just made the decision to do that to carry on his sister's cause. Also the events leading up to Aya-chan's accident are slightly different too, I think Ran's working a waiter job instead of going to the festival with Aya-chan, etc. And Schwarz shows up and starts messing around with Aya way sooner. There are a lot of small differences like that, but no one knows how much they would have diverged if the manga had lasted for more volumes.

Happy New Year, everyone! Or I should say anyone who's around. >.< I'm sorry I rarely login anymore. I'm always keeping track of my anime on my mobile now.

Hello, everyone! ^.^ It's been a long time. So sorry!

Kiseki-san, I'm not sure what the answer is. I haven't read all of the manga yet. The website I was reading from went down and I haven't had a chance to find it anywhere else. :( Hopefully, someone here knows the answer.

Hey ~ I've been watching Weiß kreuz Gluhen when I was young and I jsut came upon the series again.
I've jsut finished watching Weiß kreuz and the dual episodes OVA, and before re-watching Gluhen I was wondering : does the manga and the anime tell different stories or is it similar overall ? :3

Welcome OddFoxx! (^_^)/" Yeah, these MAL clubs sure are dead, aren't they? Especially for the un-popular, old-school anime. Sorry for the late greeting but I rarely log into my account anymore.
