Academy City: A Certain Roleplay Experience

Academy City...a place created to study the advancement of genetically created Espers. With other groups, focused on destroying or taking over this great city, who will triumph in a war between Science and Magic? This an rp based off the anime series A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun. In this rp, there are three sides (or more if you count Skill Out), Science and Magic. You choose your side in this new role-playing experience. The Story: This series takes place before the events of A Certain Magical Index transpires. This means that you don't have to watch or read the series to rp here...but, people who have will have more knowledge. Individuals who possess special powers acquired via science are called Espers (超能力者 Chōnōryokusha?). They possess their powers from birth, but most only awaken them during the Power Curriculum Program. Those Espers who awaken their abilities without the aid of special scientific instruments, whether at birth or through meditation, are referred to as Gemstones (原石 Genseki?). Others, known as Magicians (魔術師 Majutsushi?), gain their powers upon mastering the power of magic, either from obtaining knowledge from special books known as Grimoires (魔道書 Madōsho?) or by using mystical artifacts, though the existence of magicians is a secret to the public. While Magicians align themselves with ancient religions, Espers are aligned with scientific institutions. This leads to a power struggle between the magic and science factions for control of the world. The Setting:Academy City (学園都市, Gakuen Toshi?) is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the Tokyo Metropolitan Employment Area. It is the primary setting of the Toaru Majutsu no Index series and its side stories. As the city's name suggests, it is a city of several schools and institutions of higher learning from kindergarten to university level that learn side-by-side along with the scientists who research on psychic powers and higher technology, the latter being one of the primary reasons for its establishment. It is the most advanced city in the world and its technology is said to be 30 years ahead of the world.[1] Academy City is composed of 23 districts, called School Districts which are simply numbered from one to twenty-three and each of these districts have a specific purpose. Rules: 1. Don't be OP at all. 2. No killing characters without the creator's permission. 3. Everyone can create up to 3 characters max. 4. No one controls Anti-Skill but me. (Rule may change.) 5.
