Information

Anime can get overly sexualized sometimes, which can get a little annoying for just about anyone, but especially so if you happen to be asexual. This is a club for people who'd prefer to just watch anime without any tiddies involved!

You don't have to be 100% aroace to join, this is for anyone who happens to find themselves alienated by their lack of interest in sex, romance, or both. You're not alone!

Stuff to do: share recommendations, hype about currently airing series, debate the sexualities of characters... Pretty much what every club does :^)

Yeah for Skype I was thinking that those who want to watch together can do so, and then other time zones could just chat or watch with each other. I know not everyone is comfortable with Skype calls, too, so the text part would be for everyone. And if the watching together on call thing doesn't work out, that's ok too! XD I personally find this site to be more inconvenient for text conversations, though, which is why I suggested Skype.

Oh, I see! That does make it a lot less dependent on timezones, and a lot more like idling on an IRC channel or something! XD

The Skype thing doesnt have to be calls or anything. We could just mainly use the text chat. Im in the Skype group for the AceTeens subreddit and that's what we do!

daspamma: There is already a gaming-related group for aces, I think. They have sticky thread on AVEN's off-topic section. I personally advertise this group on my signature there, but I sure as hell appreciate people helping with bringing more attention to the club in other ways, too (except spamming, that's awful). We've grown a lot though, because at one point we had like, less than 10 members. XD

ponz: A Skype group could be interesting, but I think it could also potentially be really inconvenient, if we've got huge timezone differences. I like the idea of streaming anime while chatting in a group call, though. Hell, I've watched quite a few JJBA episodes with friends IRL and through Skype, and it's been fun.
