Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn?, often abbreviated to PGSM[1]) is a Japanese tokusatsu television series based on the media franchise of the same name created by Naoko Takeuchi. It is produced by Toei Company.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon was broadcast in Japan on Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting from October 4, 2003 to September 25, 2004, and was a retelling of the series' first story arc, albeit with considerable plot divergences.
The opening theme, titled "Kirari*Sailor Dream!" (キラリ☆セーラードリーム! Kirari Sērā Dorīmu!?), is performed by J-pop singer Nanami Yumihara under the name Sae (小枝?).
The series lasted 49 episodes (called "Acts"), and also included two separate made-for-DVD specials, for a total of 51 acts.

She formerly used the stage name Chisaki Hama (浜千咲 Hama Chisaki?) when she was with Snow Rabbits Productions. After Izumi returned to the modeling world in 2008, she used both 泉里果 and 泉里香 as stage names; both are pronounced "Izumi Rika".
Her first (and, as of 2004, only) major acting role was as Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) in the live action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
In Act Zero and the Special Act, she was credited as "Rika" (梨華; note different kanji than her current stage name).
She released a CD "single", containing two songs, for her character Sailor Mercury: Mi Amor (Spanish: my love) and Yakusoku (約束, meaning promise).
Before PGSM, Izumi's only television work was on an Idol special on Sky PerfecTV Japan called "Being Junior, Go!" She has also modeled in magazines called Monthly De-View (Winter 2002–2003). Pichi Lemon (Summer 2003), For Lillie (April 2003), Up-To-Boy (November 2003), and Melon (July 2003 to June 2005, when it stopped publication). She was on the cover of three consecutive issues of Pure Pure or Pure², a magazine aimed at the under-fifteen crowd (Issues 17 to 19, her photos were along with those of many other like-aged idols). She had released a single in November 2003 for a song entitled "Koisuru Soldier" (Kanojo wa Ijiwaru ["Nasty Girl"] was the other song on that CD; it was released on her agency's label and distributed by Windsong). She was also in a magazine called Bomb! with Miyuu Sawai and Keiko Kitagawa in character as Sailor Mercury.
After PGSM, Izumi's career went on hiatus for two years as she finished high school. No new photos of her surfaced, and when she attended PGSM cast reunions, her ex-castmates were careful not to post her full name in blogs nor post photos of her. When she was accepted at Meiji University as a literature major in 2007 (the same university ex-PGSM castmate Kitagawa attended), she resumed her career.[citation needed]
In June 2008, Rika returned to the modeling world after years of inactivity.[1] She was in the top twelve in a competition for the title of "Pinky Princess" (total number of entrants: 5,427).
She signed with Sun Music Brain agency as of June 1, 2008.[2] New photos of her appeared in the August 2008 issue of Ray magazine, and she has appeared in subsequent issues. The ban her former cast mates had of posting photos of her was lifted; she was photographed with Sawai, Kitagawa, Mew Azama, and Ayaka Komatsu at a party celebrating Komatsu's twenty-second birthday, and Komatsu posted the photo on her blog on August 7, 2008. In December 2008, she appeared in a commercial for Nissin Food Products.[2] In May 2010, she moved from Sun Music Brain to Sun Music Productions, another division within the same agency.
She has been mentioned as being in the casts of three movies: The Go Master (2005), Clearness (2008), and Go Seigen ("Five Restrictions") (2008). The Sun Music Brain bio lists a November 2007 movie with Izumi in the cast. It was called Oh Kiyohara.[2]
Rika has also done runway modeling since her 2008 return. In 2011, she had a cameo in the movie Paradise Kiss in which she was reunited with her ex-PGSM cast mate Kitagawa.

Her first acting role was Sailor Mars in the Sailor Moon live action show Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (2003-4), and after her role in the film Mamiya Kyōdai, she left modeling to concentrate on acting. She has appeared in several films, including The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and Handsome Suit (2008), and has played leading roles in the TV Dramas Mop Girl (2007), Homeroom on the Beachside (2008), Buzzer Beat (2009) and Lady Saigo no Hanzai Profile (2011).

Azama is a graduate of the Okinawa Actor's School and was a member of B. B. Waves (or Baby Waves) while she was there before graduating from the group in 2000. She became "Miss SEVENTEEN" in October 2002 and was an exclusive model for Seventeen magazine until graduating from that magazine in 2006.
Her first internationally-noticed role was as the amazonian Sailor Jupiter in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Her co-stars thought of her as highly girlish and demure, the opposite of her forthright and tomboyish character. Before PGSM, she played a lead role in a video for Echiura's song "Taisetsu na omoide".
In October 2006, she won the 38th "non-no model grand prix" from a pool of 5000 applicants. From December 2006 to December 2007, she was an exclusive model for the magazine, and then moved to another mainstream fashion magazine, CanCam.On March 3, 2007, she performed at the 4th "Tokyo girls collection 2007 Spring/Summer" as one of the top 70 models in Japan.
On April 24, 2007, she became "JTA (Japan Trans Ocean Air) image girl in 2007."Since April 2007, she has been performing on the information television program for women Omo-San. As of 2012 she is a model for Can-Cam.

Modeling career
Her modeling agency is Amuse inc. She was a regular model of the now defunct Candy[1] magazine. She also appeared in the Winter 2002-2003 "Angel Blue" fashion catalog and was on the cover of the manga Young Sunday dated April 7, 2005.
She was a member of the 2004 edition of the Japanese modeling quartet named Nittelligenic.[2] Prior to this, she did a few swimsuit layouts and continues to do them for magazines such as Sabra.
She has released seven photobooks, and six idol DVDs. In order of release date, the photobook titles are: Ayaka no Natsu, Nicchoku, Summer Date, Moon Doll, Cheeeeeez!♥, and Ayaka. The DVDs are named, in order of release date, Figure A, Layer Game/Megami no Chu, Masaka, Moon Doll, 書を捨てよ、水着になろう! ("Let's throw away books, and change into swimwear!"), Dream Note, and Dream Note II.
Acting Carrer
She has acted in the following movies: "Odoru Daisousasen THE MOVIE 2" (her role in this film was relatively minor; she gets attacked by a vampire), "koibumi", "Master of Thunder", "A Perfect Day for Love Letters", "Drift" and "Drift 2" (later released as "Drift Deluxe Edition"), and "Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru" (which opened in Japan on January 20, 2007, and later in Europe under the English title "My Sister, My Love"). The Italian translation lists a movie named "Suspect X" that was released in 2008. She announced that she will be in Infection Islands (or "Pandemic") that was released in January 2009.
She also appeared in the reality show "Idol Michi" and made a commercial for Takara, "Popura 2," as well as an award-winning commercial for the soft drink Fanta. In 2008, she made a commercial for Circle K in which she bites into four sandwiches.
Arguably, her best known job was as Minako Aino/Sailor V/Sailor Venus in the series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Since PGSM wrapped up, Ayaka was in the cast of a TV show called Dandori Musume ("Appointment Girls"). Her role in Dandori Musume is more comic than tragic, in contrast to her PGSM role. Her latest TV shows are dramas called Girl's Life and "Bambino". CD Japan lists a show called Uranaishi Tenjin ("Fortune Teller's Display") with her in the cast. In 2008 she appeared in Average[3] and in episode 7 of Aren't You a Criminal?.[4]
In October 2007, she acted in a play called "Unlucky Days". In July 2008, she acted in a play called "Every Little Thing".
She had a recurring role in the summer Fuji TV drama Buzzer Beat, reuniting with her former Sailor Moon cast member Keiko Kitagawa, who had the lead female role as well as with Yamashita Tomohisa as Ayaka made a cameo appearance on his previous drama Kurosagi.

She plays the character Sailor Luna, as Luna transforms to a young girl later on in the series.
She also co-hosted the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Super Dance Lesson, on which she teaches the audience three different dances along with co-stars Miyuu Sawai and Myū Azama . These dances loosely follow line dancing. Sawai plays as Sailor Moon and Usagi Tsukino. Azama plays as Sailor Jupiter and Makoto Kino. Sawai and Azama wear special dance-costumes, but Koike is left out, wearing her ordinary costume from the show.
Koike has now released a photo collection titled "Innocence."
She also played the role of Shizuka on the 2008 Kamen Rider Series, Kamen Rider Kiva.
[color=Violet]Aya Sugimoto (杉本 彩 Sugimoto Aya?, July 19, 1968) is a Japanese TV personality, actress, dancer and author born in Kyoto. She also had a J-pop career in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
Career
[edit]Early life
Aya Sugimoto grew up in Kyoto under a "strict"[2] upbringing, making her first foray into the world of entertainment when she began modeling at age 15. Encouraged by her management company, she decided to embark on a singing career.[2]
[edit]Singer and author (1988~2003)
She released nine singles and six albums between 1988 and 1991, including number 1 hits Boys and Gorgeous.[2] Her most recent album in 1995 (Femme Fatale) followed a hiatus following her marriage to music producer Toshinori Numata.
As writer of many of her own lyrics which included erotic themes, she decided to turn her attention to writing erotic novels, publishing works including The Rules of Supreme Pleasure, Immoral and the book-length 2004 essay, Orgasm Life.[2]
In early 2003, Sugimoto's figure led her to be chosen as the spokeswoman for B-Up Drops, or Bust Up Drops. A candy made from vegetables, B-Up Drops were promoted as a dietary supplement which would help increase and maintain a woman's bustline. Then 34, Sugimoto was quoted in the ad as claiming, "My boobs are so big, it's hard to maintain the right shape... Being my age, I knew I had to do something about it. And that's when I started using B-Up Drops."[citation needed]
In July 2003, Sugimoto went through a high-profile divorce from her husband of 11 years. Sugimoto claimed that there was not enough sex in her marriage, and the term "sexless divorce" became a catch-phrase among frustrated wives in Japan. Sugimoto said, "I didn't think it was such a big deal. I actually thought that it was a healthier reason for wanting out than a lot of other mud-dragging type of divorces."[3]
[edit]Acting (2003~)
After the notoriety she gained from the publicity surrounding the divorce, Sugimoto was one of the outspoken guests on the Friday late-night TV Tokyo talk show, Yearnings of the Goddess.[3]
As an actress, she then appeared in the role of Queen Beryl in the 2003-2004 TV series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, a live action adaptation of the 1990s anime series.
In 2004, she starred in director Takashi Ishii's remake of Oniroku Dan's S&M novel, Flower and Snake.[4] Working with bondage master Go Arisue, she reprised the role first played by Naomi Tani in director Masaru Konuma's version of the novel, Flower and Snake (1974). She spent approximately 75% of her screen time unclothed and participating in humiliating sexual acts but went on in the same year to be voted the second sexiest woman in Asia by Playboy magazine, beaten only by Zhang Ziyi.[3]
In 2006 Sugimoto appeared alongside Japanese adult actress Sora Aoi in the midnight manga-inspired comedy-drama Shimokita Glory Days on TV Tokyo.[5] The show also featured other adult actresses such as Yuma Asami in a story about a male college student moving to Tokyo and living in a shared house of women. Each of the twelve episodes were presented as 'lessons' which featured sexual themes and nudity. Sugimoto stated in an interview about the series that “society can’t consist only of ‘high-quality’ elements, and that’s also true for visual eroticism as well.[2]”
In September 2008, Sugimoto became the first Japanese model in PETA's international nude anti-fur campaign.[6]
In November 2008 she performed a tango interpretation of the story of Sada Abe, a notorious Meiji-era prostitute who asphyxiated and castrated her lover. Titled Tango Nostalgia, the show was an extension of her performances on Nippon Television's Urinari Geinojin Shako Dansu-bu (ウリナリ芸能人社交ダンス部,[7] a Japanese TV show similar to Dancing with the Stars in which she performed with comedian Kiyotaka Nanbara.[2]
Sugimoto is currently a regular on the NTV variety show Majyotachi no 22ji,[8] offering advice as a "love expert", alongside transsexual entertainer Ai Haruna and model Tsubasa Masuwaka.

Chieko Kawabe (河辺 千恵子 Kawabe Chieko?) is a female Japanese pop singer, model, radio host and actress. She was born on February 24, 1987 in Tokyo. As of her marriage to producer Masato Ochi on August 8, 2008, her legal name is Chieko Ochi (越智 千恵子 Ochi Chieko?).
Career
She was born on February 24, 1987 in Tokyo to a Japanese father and a Filipina mother of Spanish descent. Starting at the age of twelve, Kawabe played the role of Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury in the Sailor Moon Musicals, or Sera Myu. She started in 2000, in the Fan Kansha event for the 2001 musical, Transylvania no Mori, Kaiteiban. She continued for a couple more years, appearing in five musicals total, finishing with the 2002 special musical, 10th Anniversary Special. During these musicals, she appeared in some of the more special musicals, including the Death Vulcan special revue show, the second half of the musical being an entire musical revue showing, and the first Sera Myu DVD, the 2002 10th Anniversary event. She also appeared as a musical guest for the next Fan Kansha, performing signature solo song, "Drive Me the Mercury" with the next Mercury actress, Wakayama Manami. She appeared again in the Sailor Moon world as Usagi Tsukino's best friend, Naru Osaka in the 2003-2004 live action series, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Two years after her role in these musicals, Kawabe set off on her own, releasing the single "Be Your Girl" on April 27, 2004. This single took off successfully, with the song 'Be Your Girl' becoming the ending theme song to anime "Elfen Lied" and her other song, 'Hoshi ni Negai Wo' being the end theme song to Otogizoshi. Since that initial release, she has had off and on success, releasing a few more singles. Her next single, Shining, was released on November 24, 2004. This single took fairly well also, with her songs Shining, Cry Baby, and Quiet Riot. This single brought Kawabe closer into the pop scene of Japan, more so than her previous album.
On January 25, 2005, the single Kizunairo was released. This contained the songs Kizunairo, I Can't Wait, and Hidamari. Notable for this single, is the song I Can't Wait, the theme song to the Japanese version of the show Lizzie McGuire. Shortly after this, was the release of her first, and thus far only, full album, Brilliance. This album has eleven songs total, some of which were from previous albums, but nonetheless, this album was quite popular and proved Kawabe's talent and musical skill. This was followed by the single "Candy Baby" in July, 2005.
Almost a year passed before any more releases were made, but in April, 2006, Kawabe released another single, Sakura Kiss, which had two songs, the song 'Sakura Kiss' being the theme song to the anime Ouran High School Host Club. While performing her music video for this song, she was wearing a frog costume. The single was semi-successful reaching #71 on the Oricon 200 and charting for 6 weeks.
Currently Chieko is a weekly host on a popular radio station in Harajuku and has returned to the modeling world.[2] There has been speculation of Chieko releasing more music in the future because of promotional messages and images on her Japanese blog.
On August 8, 2008, Kawabe and TV producer Masato Ochi filed for marriage.[1] Kawabe addressed this matter on her blog.
Chieko gave birth to a healthy baby girl on May 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM.
Kawabe is the only actress who participated in Sailor Moon Musicals and the live action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Kawabe is the 5th actress who played Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury.
In Kawabe's music video for Sakura Kiss she is wearing a frog costume, the same from one of the Fankans from Sera Myu.
