Anime Unleashed began airing in 2002 as a one-hour late night anime block on TechTV. The anime chosen tended to focus on science, technology, and futuristic themes.
During the airing of Anime Unleashed, TechTV merged with G4, and the show was eventually dropped in 2006. Since then anime licensors ADV and Geneon have gone out of business.
