Anyone who grew up in the 90's remembers (or read) this series. It is my favorite young adult series of all time, and would make a great dark shonen/seinen anime. For the unlucky souls who are not familiar with this series, 5 kids are walking home from the mall and encounter an alien who gives them the power to morph into any animal they touch. They have to use this power to fight aliens that take over people's bodies. The series spanned around 60 books. Although the quality varied from book to book, the series ended really strong with one of those awesome endings that felt so right but still angers readers to this day.
