An Explosion of an experimental enery reactor turn a once bueaty land scape into a wasteland, the explosion was at a facility secertly developing human weapons and the explosion allowed them to escape. The goverment sent large groups to detain everyone not killed in the explosion and kill of of the experiments. They blocked off the wasteland from anyone on the outside as well as stoped any chance of anyone leave the waste
