I've seen the Anime twice and I am in the process of reading the Manga.

I've only seen Zero yell at one girl and that was because he was craving when she came up to him to think her for saving her from falling off of the wall and he didn't want to hurt her and expose himself as a vampire so he yelled at her to leave.

He doesn't hate women, he's just afraid to get close to anyone because he's afraid to hurt them. In fact I've had it spoiled for me that he ends up getting married to Yuki and having a son with her.

I've only known about him trying to kill himself one and the only reason he wanted to kill himself is because he felt so guilty about biting Yuki and drinking her blood.

I do know that he told Yuki to shoot him, but he only told her to shoot him if he became a level E vampire and lost control, and that he only wanted her to kill him.

I dislike Kaname because to me he seems very arrogant, and he can be quite cruel and manipulative just to get what he wants, and I also recall him referring to his 'friends' as his pawns in the anime.
