Shion is the twin sister of Mion. She is very girly and works in a cafe. Shion and Mion are very close, and often switch places. Shion was in love with Houjou Satoshi. She can sometimes be a very dangerous and crazy killer.

Akane is the mother of Mion and Shion. She is mysterious and an important figure of the Sonozaki family, often shown at village meetings and gatherings. In Matsuribayashi-hen, Akane and Shion take flowers to the grave of Ooishi's late father.
Sonozaki Oryou-
