<strong><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 250%;">Freelancers<!--size--></span></strong><!--center--></div> <strong><div style="text-align: center;">The goal:</strong><!--center--></div>To have many shorter, smaller roleplays rather than a single large one, reducing likelihood of RP death, making it easier for people to come and go, and adding variety. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 500%;">~<!--size--></span><!--center--></div> The city of Serakaar, in the Kingdom of Aesera. A bustling port city, and one of the main trading centers of the region. As a nation with a firm grasp on water routes, Aesera has the greatest economic power in this region. However, holding this power is quite a challenge, as crimes of all types have been on the rise, and trust in law enforcement is failing. This situation is not unique to Serakaar, either. The entire world, it seems, has been under similar stress. In these trying times, where organized law enforcement has done nothing but come up short, the mercenary business and other freelance services have risen to meet the challenge... <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 500%;">~<!--size--></span><!--center--></div> <div style="text-align: center;"><strong>How it works:<!--center--></div> Step 1: Join</strong> All you do is click that button over there... <strong>Step 2: Read the rules</strong> <!--link--><a href="http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=268305">Read 'em or risk being kicked.</a> <strong>Step 3: Make a character</strong> You can create any kind of character you wish, be they a mercenary, criminal, civilian, or anything that you can think of. Magic is allowed, but this is a human dominated world. Other races, such as elves, do exist, but they aren't common. A few non-humans are good, but the majority should be human. Bear that in mind, as too many non-human characters won't be accepted. <strong>Step 4: Take a job</strong> Each job will have an OOC (out of character) and IC (in character) thread. You join in the OOC thread and RP in the IC thread. Roles to be filled will vary from job to job, but every job will need at least two players. NPCs can be used to fill any gaps. You can also create a job, which will put you in charge of it. Or... <strong>Step 4.5: Visit the Raven and the Mage Tavern</strong> You can freely RP in the tavern at any time. <strong>Step 5: Roleplay!</strong> What you've been preparing for this whole time! Remember, it's rude to abandon an RP. Tell people if you don't plan on continuing. <strong>Job status</strong> Jobs should use the following system for status, listed in brackets beside the thread name and in the introductory post of the OOC thread. More will be added if necessary. <em>Preparing</em> - Players are being recruited or the RP is still being planned. <em>Ready</em> - The RP is ready to start, but has not for whatever reason. <em>Active</em> - The RP has started and is progressing smoothly. <em>Inactive</em> - The RP is not progressing for whatever reason, but there are plans for it to continue. <em>Dead</em> - The RP is inactive, and there are no plans for continuing at any point in the future. <em>Complete</em> - The RP is over. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 200%;"><!--link--><a href="http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=268305">Rules</a> <!--link--><a href="http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=268306">Characters</a> <!--center--></div><!--size--></span> <div style="text-align: center;">Lag indicator discontinued due to my not being able to consistently keep it up-to-date.
