Bad Anime

Information

Have you ever sat down to watch a new anime series, only to find out that it's absolutely drenched in age-old cliches and boring characters? Sometimes it happens, but you're not alone!

See, we all love anime, or else we wouldn't be here. But that doesn't mean we love ALL anime. Some anime just isn't good and, because of this, it should be ridiculed and dissected without extreme prejudice!

Oh Power Dolls, I remember that. I don't think I could even watch the whole thing, ended up trading it somewhere for a few cents I think.

Being a grumpy old man of the decrepit age of 23, I spend a lot of time complaining about bad anime. Especially new stuff, because as any fellow crotchety geezer knows, they don't make it the way the used to. It's them new-fangled computers making the colors look all weird. And don't get me started on moe. I watched as much as I could (not much) of Lucky Star and I think it's the worst anime ever made. To be fair there are plenty of awful old-school productions but I can't bring myself to hate them with such a passion. For instance Power Dolls that I bought for .94¢ and that's about all it was worth.

Yeah, I think we've all been there before. The first episode looks good or it has a good premise or something and then just falls apart. It's pretty frustrating when that happens.

I've been really picky about anime lately, but that hasn't kept me away from bad anime entirely.

First member. I feel honoured, thanks Rumbler. :)

I try to avoid watching anime that I feel will be bad, except for the old school ones.

But I've been set up in some traps. I start watching a new series, I like the first episodes, the series decrease in quality but I keep up with it thinking that it'll increase in quality and eventually end up in a big finale. My bad.

I should listen to my intuition, that tells me after some episodes, to drop it, I do it these days. I've learned my lesson, that's why, I don't watch so much new series as I did in most seasons over the last decade.

Some experiences that I remember by browsing my list are;
Romeo x Juliet, Soul Link, Triangle Heart, Lovely Complex, Chrno Crusade, Trinity Blood and I'm sure there's more on my side.

These were the ones that I finished, because, my "dropped" list is full of some other examples.
