World of Darkness

Information
<div style="text-align: center;">If you think this club is about taking over the world, then find another club because this is not the club for you... If you feel like breaking down, or you're just having a bad day, you are welcome to this club... If things are just so depressing and you can't talk to anyone about it, we are here to listen... This club is for everyone to join, and there are just a few rules...<!--center--></div> <ul><li>Respect all members... No matter how depressed they are, you should always respect them... <li>Keep it PG 13. We have some young members and we wouldn't want them to be "tainted." <li>Don't make fun of a person's problem. It might hurt or offend them, and we'll just make them more depressed than they already are. <li>Be a little more open. Some of us want to help you, and we can't help you if you only give a general problem. <li> Try to have fun! This club is also for cheering people up! <div style="text-align: center;">Our club theme song! If you found a song that seems to fit this club, pm an admin! This song is called "<!--link--><a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=2IhiDr6e-_8">Blind</a>" from Lifehouse. Another one is "<!--link--><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2IDMGEL6-8">You Don't Know</a>" from Reel Big Fish. And "<!--link--><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKmN4SBGG1c&feature=related">What Hurts The Most</a>" from Rascal Flats.<!--center--></div>

I rephrase, the big bang is unplausiable as an occurance by itself. from nothing "somthing" i.e. a universe full of matter cannot just appear. thats where some form of higher being come in and possibly induces some form of creation e.g. making matter itself and just setting it off to form itself with some big bang like happening. but, i'm not saying he loves everyone or that he/she can do anything in the world because he is always there. Maybe we all just exist by chance and we are something entertaining. but, i am not sure if conciousness is something that can form by chance? i don't think atoms etc. have the capacity to induce a being to create thought.

first, wait you think the big bang theory is unplausible? (maybe that's not what you said, for some reason, the ends of what's typed in this club's comments is a little cut off... but if it is what you said, I'd like to know what your belief in the beginning of the universe was.)

second, I actually don't believe in an omnipotent god, it's just rare to find a believer in a god who doesn't believe in omnipotence.

This conversation has caught my interest even more now. Please, do explain your thoughts on the beginning of this universe and its potential creator.

as i say, from here it is all a matter of opinion. i think the big bang is unplausible. why does a god that has always existed have to be omnipotent? its a mindless arguement as we won't change our viewpoints.

So you don't believe that evolution can be a tool of a creating god? I know the theory as secondary causation, the first causation being the big bang, when all matter, space, time, and energy came to be. However, the tools for conscious life to come to be could have been waiting, meaning evolution. Otherwise, the god intervened in its own creation to create conscious life. That theory is "god-in-the-gaps." However, if you believe in an omnipotent god, the latter theory makes little sense. Why would an all powerful being have to correct itself? I believe the theory of secondary causality is much more plausible, through which, god decided to evolve human consciousness. Almost deistic really.

Vengeful-Wolves | Jul 15, 2008 8:04 PM
to some degree i believe in it but i strongly disagree with the evolution of human consciousness, you cannot evolve into a conscious being. There is a god responsible for the creation of so many things that it is infintesimally unlikely they occured themselves. but we have been created with the ability to evolve in some ways.

Arestyr | Jul 15, 2008 9:53 AM
so do you believe in evolution?

Vengeful-Wolves | Jul 14, 2008 11:54 PM
well that where we will have disagreement because i can't see a phesible way that we evolved as we have. i don't believe in a particular religion but i believe in a God who gave us a soul as oposed to animals. it's purely a matter of opinion in this respect so i will no longer contest your views on this matter.

Arestyr | Jul 14, 2008 11:15 AM
Humans are animals that have evolved their minds more than their bodies, but at roots, humans are still animals, will always be animals. Therefore, natural drives exist within humans: eat, drink, sleep, and live. These drives are all natural "wills" that have existed since the beginning of life.
