Source is a game engine owned by VALVe corporation that is the powerhouse behind games like Left 4 Dead, Half-Life 2, and Counter-Strike: Source. However, its flexibility prompted VALVe to make an SDK, causing lots of Source modifications to be created, one of which being Garry's Mod.
Garry's Mod is a Source mod that allows the player to do whatever the hell they want, usually being making complex contraptions out of objects from Half Life 2 and other Source games. It also had a modification allowing for the use of Lua scripting, prompting a website full of mini-modifications to Garry's Mod, one of which being the influential WireMod, a huge mod for Garry's Mod allowing for even more complex, programmed, and robotic contraptions, doing things automatically, or other possibilities.
Many other modifications to Source were made later on, including Counter-Strike, which started as a small multiplayer modification to the first Half-Life game. Then when Source came out, they made a new version, Counter-Strike: Source, which VALVe then bought from them. It was one of the best multiplayer games, according to many a Steam user.
Counter-Strike: Source (or CS:S for short) was a multiplayer game pitting terrorists against the military, in which each map had a different objective. In de_dust2, you had to stop the terrorists from detonating a bomb at a chemical weapons shipping site. In cs_office, terrorists had to defend hostages from the counter-terrorists, who had to try and rescue them by bringing them to the designated Hostage Rescue Zone before time ran out.
Of course, nothing causes controversy like Left 4 Dead. It was a commercial Source game by VALVe in which you and 3 other friends would fight through a zombie apocalypse. VALVe promised Downloadable Content (DLC) for the game, which enraged many when VALVe started work on L4D2. Lots of gamers decided to boycott it, saying it would do better as DLC or an expansion for the first game. However, L4D2 had so much difference from the first L4D, and VALVe also promised even more DLC for the first game. L4D2 had even more Infected types, more weapons, and new stories and characters. There is even talk of the cast of L4D crossing paths with the new survivors of L4D2 in a new DLC, The Passing.

So to put it simply, this club is for those who like all things Source, including all of VALVe's games, all Source mods (Garry's Mod, CS:S), and all else related to Source.
