The Way of the 2D

Information
The basic premises are simple: The 3D world is flawed. It equals pain, suffering, dissatisfaction, and unhappiness. Yet, it is so much around us, and we cannot help but be tempted by its seeming desirability. How do we, then, detach ourselves from this 3D world and the pain and suffering it brings about ultimately? The answer lies in the 2D realm, a world which everything is pure, perfect, and proper. Of course, it is no easy task to disregard the concrete, visible, and lucid world of the 3D in favor of the 2D which cannot be grasped. Yet, through much meditation and perseverance, it is something that every one of us can reach. And when we do, we will be at peace: free of the temptation of the 3D, our own imperfections and flaws purged; we will be reborn as Enlightened beings, having mastered the Way of the 2D. Yes, our basic philosophy is quite similar to that of Buddhism. I do not wish to claim this to be a religion though, it is more of a personal philosophy/way of life, which many of us may have chosen to take already, and hopefully this club will get some of us together, to further discuss the Way, and to encourage each other in our journeys. Please feel free to share your own views and experiences. *Disclaimer: the belief in 2D superiority over 3D of this group goes beyond aesthetics and appearances. The Way of the 2D is not only about the physical attractiveness of 2D men or women (although that is also a part of it), but also their characters as human beings in general, and extending to life in general; it is the belief that the 2D life, just as 2D girls are, is the pure and righteous one, and dismissing the shortcomings of the 3D life.

2D IS THE REAL WAY OF THE LIFE

If only it's possible to travel back and forth from the real world to the 2D world anytime you want and visit the nice peoples over there and have a cup of tea and cake with them, or relax under a tree reading a book or lie down a big grassy field, listening to the chirping of birds while the gentle wind blows your face and you slowly fall asleep as all problems from the real world seem to slowly fade away... but I'd probably end up staying there for the rest of my life anyway.

In case you guys are interested (or don't already know), you should check out Tohno-chan, the waifu-friendly imageboard. Not many people use it, but moderation is excellent and it could become a good hangout for waifufriends in the future if more people contributed.

hmm yes. but I think one can also train oneself to lose that insincerity? Or rather I guess it's a matter of getting oneself to be able to "believe" that the world (the 3d one) is really sincere. Very hard for me.

As for your comment about how only this is found in young children and enlightened masters, I agree but I think in children it isn't refined enough to where it is able to be applied to "real life," if you will. Being sincere at a young age is easy, but being sincere once you've grown up is whole another challenge, and yeah it really is "enlightenment" if you are able to attain a child's mind (in a philosophical way) in your adult years.. One day..
