The League of Well-Informed Enthusiasts

There are some fans that like only a few specific genres. Some fans like only dubs, some will only watch some, or there are those that only read manga altogether. Then there are the many good folk that recognize that anime is the centerpiece of dozens of hobbies and interests, and seeks to explore them all or as many as possible. This kind of fan will immerse him or herself into these different outlets of fandom in order to expand his or her expertise or at the very least meet new and interesting people. This club was created to represent its members as renaissance men and renaissance women, people who aren't content with just being fans of one particular thing. Musicians, artists, cosplayers, and writers who are also into anime/manga are welcome. I won't forget the most important trait of the kind of members we're looking for: a diverse taste in anime and manga. The kind of fan that can watch Berserk one day and Ouran Host High School Club the next. Someone who can enjoy something as dramatic as Death Note but still appreciate Clamp's works. If you find yourself talking about Shin Chan as much as often as you discuss Evangelion, then you will be a great fit for this club. On a final note, I have chosen "Conventions" to be the category for this club since a long-term goal of this club will be to promote the club's mission statement at conventions, as well as to use the club as a means of organizing groups at conventions. This may seem ambitious at first, but my immediate goal of the club is to find MAL members.
