The White Rabbit is the enemy of the Queen of Hearts. Only Alice can kill him. He was in love with Marianne.
According to the "Cheshire Cat," he is the only original character from the "Alice in Wonderland" novel. When the original Wonderland fell apart and became nothing but white space, he became a human with his own will and was given pages of the original Wonderland from the Cheshire Cat to rebuild Wonderland. He was the only character to her Alice's wish to "save her from sensei." The other original "Alice in Wonderland" characters disappeared somewhere and he decided not to involve them. He brought people from the real world into Wonderland in order to fulfill the missing main character roles.
He found Alice Liddell on the verge of death when she fell into Wonderland and renamed her "Mary Ann." He fell in love with her as she told him more about what the Wonderland Lewis Carroll wrote for her is suppose to be like. She wanted to plant red flowers and name them and so the White Rabbit brought flowers into Wonderland to please her. However, she cannot think of a name and says that her "sensei" would surely be better at naming the flowers. When the White Rabbit inquires about who her sensei is, she responds the he is the one who will save her, rescue her from the person that will steal her name, save her from a tragic ending, and finally, kill her. The White Rabbit, in shock, says that is wrong because a very important page is missing and because of Alice's wish before the original Wonderland was destroyed. Alice, disillusioned, states that she most leave or the story will not progress because she is Alice. The White Rabbit stops her saying that she is not "Alice" she is "Mary Ann." The White Rabbit encounters a new character who doesn't have a name - this new character is the Lewis Carroll that fell into Wonderland searching for Alice Liddell. Lewis Carroll tells the White Rabbit to return Alice to him. The White Rabbit states he is searching for a way to make Alice happy but Lewis Carroll replies that Alice doesn't need to be happy and never will be if she is with Lewis Carroll. The White Rabbit attacks him but is stopped by the Cheshire Cat and he walks off. The White Rabbit then brings in the first major character role "The Queen of Hearts" and proposes the game to kill the White Rabbit and then brings in the first "Alice of Wonderland."
