Aisha is a noble's daughter. She travels to the frigid territory of the duke because, in her previous life, she was a huge fan of Abel, the protagonist of her favorite story. Hades often misinterprets her affections for Abel as being directed at himself, and the two end up engaged.
Aisha is actually one of three children of God. In her first life, she killed her child to put them out of their misery since they were suffering on the brink of death. As punishment, God forced her into an eternal cycle of damnation, in which she is fated to kill her child before dying herself.
In one of her previous lives, she was known as Zenos, and she moved into a village, where she grew close to Atheus, an older village boy blessed with the power to manipulate fire, and Talio, a young boy whom she treated like her own son. However, due to her curse, the children in the village began dying one after another. She was forced to kill Talio to end that cycle of death. When Atheus learns of her curse, he forsakes God. This lack of faith causes him to become the only one with the power to stand against God.
