Parona is a young girl around the age of 15 and a close friend of March. She has long black hair that is tied in a loose ponytail. She wears a dress with cloth wrapped around her arms and legs. Parona is clever, observant, courageous, and selfless. She strongly opposes the Ninannah tradition of sacrificial ceremonies.
In the past as a child, she was chosen as a sacrifice. However, her sister tricked her into hiding in the woods, under the guise of a game. As a result, her sister was sacrificed, and people shunned her.
When March was chosen as a sacrifice, she tries her best to save her from this fate. They eventually discover that the sacrificial ceremony is just a ruse for a foreign country to try and control, then invade her homeland, and are taken away as prisoners there.
Along with Fushi and Pyoran, Parona manages to escape. Despite her efforts however, March is killed by pursuers. Eventually, Parona takes her body back to their home village with Fushi.
When they arrive, their pursuers catch up, and she shoots Hayase in the hand to slow her down. Though she despairs that due to her bad aim, she missed the head.
Later it is revealed that, Hayase captures and kills Parona, along with March's parents. This allows Fushi to later transform into her.
When transformed into Parona, Fushi finds it very easy to move around as her form is very light and graceful.
