Hinako serves as Kuroko's partner, assigned to keep Kuroko in line. She is a lighthearted and innocent yet bold girl. She is extraordinarily skillful at driving/piloting vehicles, ranging from Kuroko's Murcielago to a simple bicycle to a mech. Kuroko motivates her by promising to make her elaborate dinners. She collects bugs and enjoys nature and marine biology.
Hinako is the result of human experimentation and is a mysterious figure in Murcielago. She is usually passive and sweet, if a little uncaring at points. However, if she is triggered to, she can fight very well and is unaware of her actions. This is first seen in the Domestic Killer arc, where she is injured and nearly kills Rinko with a motorcycle. This is likely a result of the experimentation she went under, referred to as the Tozakura Project. Due to this, she also serves as an antidote to the effects of the supernatural in the Yamatsukami Family arc. She is also very quiet when following people, and enjoys wearing a ninja outfit and sneaking around. Kuroko uses her to gather information. She gets robotic shoes that allow her to move very quickly without a vehicle. On missions, she uses them to scope out areas easily, move quickly, and even fight if necessary.
