Maken-Ki!

Both are panty-fighter shows, that is, with the heroines dueling each other until their clothes are shredded. Even when the heroines are clothed, the anime directors still insist on showing low-angle panty shots and exposed chests, along with the girls dressed in provocative clothing for their commercial breaks. Both series insist on giving the girls a nickname, a relative ranking (for Freezing), body measurements, weapon names, and special abilities, as if they were selectable characters for a video game. The male protagonist joins a school full of fighting girls, lacking abilities of his own at first, but developing some based on his lineage (from family members who died prior to the series). Takeru in Maken-ki does not have a primary romantic interest but he attracts the same types of harem characters including a cold-hearted beauty with extraordinary powers (Himegami) and a childhood friend who latches onto him and who makes the others jealous (Inaho). The girls mainly fight each other but later they ally to support each other as they get involved with rival organizations with characters from around the world (Team Venus) and the over-arching conglomerate called the Kamigari who act as an antagonist. Maken-ki does have guys that also fight and have special powers. Freezing is also centered about a bunch of school girls fighting, but there are more guys in the background as support characters, but outside of Kazuya and Arthur, they stay in the background. The main guy Kazuya is fairly useless at the start of the series, but stays loyal to the tsundere heroine Satellizer, while attracting the affections of a second girl Rana, who coincidentally uses hand-to-hand combat and hardened gauntlets like Minaho. He later develops some inherent abilities that surprise the staff, while Satellizer also shows an extraordinary ability to learn and develop her abilities. The other girls initially serve as rivals; like Maken-ki, they come from all over the world, and would later become allies for the common cause. Some of the authority figures from both the student body as well as alumni teachers are heavily involved in the series (Yumi and Elise in comparison to Minori and Aki). The faculty even get their own prequel series (Freezing: Zero) although Maken-ki’s prequel is much shorter, barely lasting a few chapters. The graduates join an organization called the Chevalier to defend the world from oncoming invaders, but the organization itself is suspect. Freezing is more violent as girls lose their limbs and get stabbed a lot, with explanations that they can regenerate them later. Both series came out around the same time in both manga and anime form, and have been dubbed by Funimation, although it is interesting that some of the voice actors have disguised themselves under aliases for one of the series and not both. Similarites: Both were set in an all girls school turned coed. Both muchachos (male lead) have lecherous tendencies as well as being losers. Both involves usage of magic and superpowers. Both chiquitas (main female lead) are a year older than the muchchos. Both have the same amount of intense ecchi. Both also has the same harem genre. And, both muchachos (male lead) have special abilities. Dissimilaiities: The lead chiquita in Maken-ki is the muchacho's childhood friend, while in Highschool DxD there is no childhood friend to link the muchacho with. In Highschool DxD the lead chiquita has no problems being naked in front of the muchacho because they maintain a master and slave relationship, while the muchacho in Maken-ki is sure to get a beating if he ever sees the lead chiquita naked. The chiquita in Highschool DxD is a club president of the Occult Club and came from a long line of demons, while in maken-ki the lead chiquita is a student council Vice President as well a drom supervisor. A single lucky seemingly useless (at the very least; boring, normal and/or plain) guy, gets into a school mainly comprised of beautiful girls that battle one another as part of their school days with super powers. Except IS is more sci-fi, and Maken-Ki is martial arts. Both male protagonists have a harem of girls after his affection without them having to lift a finger; you're typical harem anime. 

Lots of girls. One guy. Powers. Action. Fighting. Love. It is almost the same thing except they aren't in school. 

The same fighting girls who can kick ass, and the same kind of harem where guy is involve and quite frankly both anime are not for the conservative ones, and it's only for those who are after the entertainment side of it. 

Both their schools are weird, are harem , and have many ecchi scenes here and there.

Both muchachos (male lead) have chiquitas (female leads) living with them. Both muchachos are nice guys and may look vulnerable, but they can can fight. Both muchachos always have their butts kicked when their chiquitas are pissed. Both have panty shots. One is limited to a three-way harem, while the other one has a two-group harem—one group in the dorm and another in the student council. One muchacho relies on the other chiquita to be his weapon when fighting, while the other has a special ability to fight when push comes to shove. In one anime, it is the harems who come into the muchacho's life, while in the other, it is the muchachos who come into the harems life because the school that was once an all-girls school became co-ed and the MC is looking for some perverted action... at first that is. In Maken-Ki, the muchacho is up against fellow students who want to duke it out on the disciplinary committee, while in C³, the muchacho is up against supernatural beings. The dominant chick in the other anime is the school's student council president, while in the other one the is just a vice president of her school's student council, however she is also the school's dormitory sempai or bucho (not the land lord as the subtitle suggest), checked. The ecchi in the other anime is more on panty shots, while the other one is both into panty shots and boobies, checked. The other anime has all the chicks living in one roof, while the other only has one of the chicks living with the muchacho, checked. read more 

both main character goes to a school full of Magic and Supernatural things ,also the he didn't know about it , and both anime is an Ecchi anime 

Both have the same shoujo, martial arts, super powers, school, comedy, action and ecchi genre. The difference: Maken-ki: Has an extra romance and harem genre. The guy have special ability in which it has to be put in control otherwise he'll go berserk. It has intense fanservice. Senran Kagura: It has ninja and yuri as it's extra genre. It has one character who seems to be burdensome. Fanservice is only limited to bikini, lingerie and panty shots.  

The story is about a guy who enrolls into a previously all girls school that has recently gone co-ed. The students in the school all have some sort of special ability, that they use through Makens. Similarities as far as I can tell between the two are: -Harem (Guy surrounded by girls) -Martial arts -Big breasted main female lead Some dissimilarities and other things are: In one, the male lead is quite strong (OP) while in the other one, the male lead still needs to unlock or learn to use his power/full potential. Maken-ki has more ecchi content than Yoichi 

in both the main character is at first weak and then gain a "sacred" or rare power in accel world its his wings and in maken ki its his uncontrollable power. next their patrons both are girls who are widely known and are very powerful, in both animes the girls are in love with the main character. 

It contains lots of ecchi, magic, fantasy and of course...Harem~ Nice drawingstyle and from my opinion, a good storyline. (: 

Romance - Check Jealous Childhood friend - Check Good soundtrack - Check Dissimilarities: Maken-ki has Action and Ecchi as extra genre, Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate is more into the romance and drama genre while Maken-ki is more into Ecchi and Action genre. Though both are quite good ^_^ 

Ecchi... Harem... Oppai... Pantsu... If you like these things you'll like this one 4sure... Though To LOVE-Ru Darkness has evolved alot more than previous seasons, it is more perverted than ever!! beware sensetive watchers, To LOVE-Ru Darkness is almost a Hentai...

both the main male characters are seen kicked and hit all the time. both have a very perverted male character. but still there are girls around him . both are harems, school , comedy . both have characters who hate perverts or males. both the main character seems to be happy while they are beaten up. both main character seems to be pervert but sometimes they have a serious side of them.

Both have the same ecchi and harem genre, however one was more of martial arts while the other was moire onto scifi, so make your decision if both were worthy of watching since the mods wants such recommendations as presuasive.
