Everyone knows Studio Ghibli's amazing work, but what about the other studios?

Most of the Top Movies are related to an anime series, so it is not too easy to find something which can be watched without any previous knowledge.

I will list those standalone movies which I enjoyed besides the Ghibli shows.

Anime with unique art-style/premise and or surreal/dreamlike sequences

List of anime with attractive aesthetics and story for young and old. They stand out for having a western or remarkable visual aesthetic from the rest.

anime that really, really stick out, and are worth watching even if you aren't an anime fan, and are just a fan of great visual media in general.

Do you ever get bored of the usual anime designs which tend to use such as the standard ones such as the one in "Clannad"? Well, even if they do tend to fall in the usual categories, this doesn't mean the show itself is bad. However, sometimes, you just want to get out of your comfort zone, and try something that's different for once, and this is why this list exists. Here are some anime with the most unique and unusual anime art-styles that you don't see everyday. Try it out, you might even end up loving it after you break out of your shell, your usual "usual."

Includes regular anime series, movies, experimental shorts, and even music videos. Anything that can be considered unique in either its art style or method of animation. Probably not every entry in this list will be suited to one's taste, but as we all know, art is subjective.

Also, I've tried to limit the entries to one per style.

This list includes arthouse/avantgarde anime movies, so that's anything over 50 minutes, for example: Angel's Egg, Mindgame, Belladonna of Sadness.

Anime where most main and/or supporting characters aren't the most mentally stable

Maybe they've been driven mad 'cause of trauma, or they're just plain psychotic, some are a little (a lot) eccentric, if you're searching for normal you're not gonna find it here

Sexually-Charged Series with coming of age elements, dirty jokes, bizarre chronology, ecchi and skillfully dramatics when it has to be.

Insane and psychedelic storylines with colorful visuals. Some are Action-packed, philosophical, psychological or straight-up weird.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Inception (ripp off of paprika) kinda vibes.

Have a seat and have fun watching it.
