Fuji TV's noitaminA (ノイタミナ) late night programming block which currently broadcasts on Fridays from 00:45 to 1:45. ![]() ![]() These are all some of my favorite fantasy Shoujo anime! There’s a lot of fantasy shounen but it’s rare to find people with a huge list of Shoujo fantasy and if they do have one it tends to be a lot of the same stuff. Here’s mine. I hope you find something new to watch. If not, I’m sorry for not being helpful enough. I’ll also be adding donghua (Chinese anime) in here because a lot of them are really worth watching. There’s one anime on here that airs in the fall but I’ve read and am obsessed with the source material and the trailers look amazing so I feel comfortable putting it on here. They are in rank from my highest score to lowest. FYI just because something might be ranked low doesn’t mean that it’s bad, it’s in my favorites list after all. Also, just because these are Shoujo anime doesn’t necessarily mean they all are romances. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬-𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟬 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗷𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗚-𝟭𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 ![]() ![]() Anime series that covers all of the original source they're based on, with some notes. ![]() ![]() A compilation of anime which are adapted from manga that ran in LaLa magazine. Sequels are not included, but reboots are. ![]() ![]() Whether identical, fraternal, alike or different. Whether main characters, side characters, or only in one episode, all these shows have twins. ![]() ![]() List of Anime with 11 Episodes or Less ![]() ![]() List from Digibro's† video "Can You Spot A Unique Anime Series By Its Episode Count?" ![]() ![]() Both the source material - manga - and the anime adaptation are done. If there is something to note, it will be written in the respective area. ![]() ![]() Some of these are questionable, like Suisei no Gargantia can be argued to be fully sci-fi, but there is a feel to it that makes me include it, along with organic and archaic elements that are woven together in a way that makes this appear more fantastical than your average sci-fi. Similarly, Gankutsuou is sci-fi with advanced technology, but it's futuristic imagery is conceptualized to cohere with the elegant 19th century setting of Dumas' novel. I'm also avoiding the inclusion of more than one entry per series, so if season 1 is on here, then season 2 likely fits just as much. ![]() ![]() It includes all kinds of sci-fi anime subgenres from dystopian, utopian, aliens, space operas, comedy, dark and psychological etc. A variety of selection to explore the world of my favourite genre which is sci-fi. It includes extremely serious nerve wrecking stories to absolutely light hearted fun ones. ![]() ![]() Shoujo--like all demographics--is incredibly varied, featuring a wide mix of stories, genres and themes. Its protagonists are no exception, with different personalities and backgrounds, and having both girls and guys in leading roles. I wanted to highlight some shoujo anime written from a male POV. |
