Slice of Life can be divide into two kinds, the fun one and the deep one. And this is my collection for truly slice of life drama animes. It represents the epitome of human nature and feelings. These animes might be inspirational ones that might hit you like a bullet to the heart.

These series and animated films take place in the countryside, forest, or other rural location.

Wholesome isn't a gerne it's a feeling that one gets by watching a certain anime and I see you cherish that feeling. I have arranged some of the best wholesome or slice of life anime that I've seen to calm your stress.

My personal recommendations for amazing "SOL" anime that have subtle/intensive feels and deep themes/ideas.

Animes with a female protagonist or primarily female cast.

A variety of anime featuring female characters in the workforce. They may be paid employees or someone in training who is serving an apprenticeship or unpaid internship.

Each of the following are one of the most popular anime set in or heavily inspired by an associated Japanese prefecture. They are ordered from Hokkaido to Okinawa (roughly north to south).

Anything with visually appealing art that makes you go stunned and will make you never want to look away from that scenery, and can be used as your background wallpaper.

This category refers to anime with certain characteristics:
- Lively as Natural - these series represent a highly realistic, natural world. The story looks as if these events were seriously happening somewhere.
- Lively as Energetic - a lot of things happen in these anime. They rarely appear scenes here where nothing happens.
- Lively as Emanating with Energy, Life

Otherwise:
- The rich personalities of the characters - the personalities of the characters of the series are full of traits.
- Third-plane characters are not puppets - they have a unique personality and their lives. A series about them might well have been created
- The surrounding world is not empty - it is full of life

Who doesn't want a strong lead, and a female one at that? I mean, people stereotype A LOT in this day and age, so who doesn't want this type of unique character once in a while? Note: I tried to avoid shoujo romances as they are seen as common tropes, although there are some that I thought were personally good on the list.

There are countless RomComs about high schoolers, so here's a list of some of the best non-romance-focused anime about teenagers. Note: Some contain romantic subtext, but that it isn't the focus in these.

Yeah, we get it. You wanna ship two guys together. Well then, what about we make a twist on that for once, and ship two girls together that aren’t cannon? I mean, they’re hot and they look nice together, so why not? These entries are compiled up of series where it’s CGDCT or where two girls are close to each other and often think about each other.

This is a list of anime that fall under the 'Cottagecore' aesthetic. The Cottagecore aesthetic romanticizes nature, the countryside and slow living. It consists of peaceful pastoral locations, homemade crafts, and traditional homesteading activities such as cooking, picnicking, gardening, forging, care-taking, etc.

Cottagecore is a western concept, but goes hand in hand with 'Iyashikei', which is a theme often intertwined with Slice of Life. It emphasizes slow living, and appreciates the wonder of being alive. It brings a gentle joy to the chores in every day life, and has a peaceful, serene tone. It's one of the narrative styles that make Japanese works so distinct and charming.

I'll be adding to this list as time goes on. Some of these works wont fully fit the Cottagecore aesthetic, but are close enough that they're worthy of being in the stack.

Anime that centers around a character's job.

Anime that focus on bizarre jobs(e.g. Ishuzoku Reviewers) or anime that aren't focused primarily on a character's job and relations with co-workers(e.g. Hataraku Maou-Sama!) are excluded.

This is a list of shounen & seinen animes which include well written female cast or female mc who have a good amount of screen time and not done dirty like a lot of other male targeted animes (cough naruto) No more giving your side male characters more screen time than your ''supposedly'' female mc

1) Bleach: I love its female characters a lot and Rukia was one of my fav mcs' but I think compared to male characters they were done dirty

Just trust me and pick one which peaks your interest the most. You won't regret it.

This list is targeted to people who have little time to spend on watching anime but they already have watched the popular ones. Anime in this list have occult following but they are not well-known in the public. Hope you'll be joining these occult followings by enjoying some of the following anime.
Also, this list is a challenge of shorts so that you won't stop watching just from the first episode and be able to have a better understanding of the anime you are watching.
This list includes anime from various genres so that people, who have a particular interest in certain genres and not others, can find something to spend their time. Enjoy life and enjoy anime!
