Interest StacksThe order the author originally wrote the series in, preferred by most Monogatari fans. The most recommended order for first time anime watchers. This order is the result of Shaft's production delays so it's not the most popular order, but it has its own advantage for first-timers as well regarding enjoyment. Another order that first-time anime watchers use. Taking into account how the author intended to convey the story and correcting production constraints, while also considering the better way to experience the story in an anime format. Order recommended by the MC's voice actor, Hiroshi Kamiya. Though, this order is not largely popular. It is claimed that you can see how events unfold and affect the main characters, but may lose the intended mystery held within. The animation and plot style for Kizu also largely differ from the rest of the story. *Note Collection of some vampire themed series and a short note of my personal opinion on them. (from what I can remember) Most adaptations are, at best, on par with the original. Some aspects are better, some worse, so it's down to preference as to how to enjoy a story. There are, of course, many, *many* outright stinkers that make one think the original was far worse than it actually was. But sometimes there comes an adaptation made with such outstanding effort, it elevates the source material onto a completely new level of experience: either through masterful editing or reimagining of the original narrative, or visionary direction, or incredible sound design, or career-topping performance from animators and/or voice actors. A list of anime I believe share a similar style of storytelling to the works of highly revered author, Haruki Murakami. The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place annually in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards. |
