Dragon Ball is a Japanese media franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. Azteca 7 (with its main transmission headquarters in the signal call XHIMT-TDT), is a private Mexican television network owned by Televisión Azteca. Its generalist programming has been characterized (in most of its history) by having a youthful and children's cut with the broadcast of cartoons and comedy series, which has made it the main competitor at the national level in free-to-air TV, Televisa's Canal 5. Daisuke Nishio is a Japanese animator and director. He joined Toei Doga (now Toei Animation) as animator in 1981. After doing several TV series, he was promoted to assistant director on Dr. Slump - Arale-chan in 1982. He debuted as director for Dragon Ball in 1986 and made his film debut that same year with Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenlong. Nishio also directed its sequel TV series, Dragon Ball Z, and several of its films.
