A Magical Girlfriend, exotic girlfriend, supernatural lover, monster girlfriend, or nonhuman woman, is a female (or male, in rarer cases) stock character often associated with romantic comedy anime and manga series, and is sometimes considered a genre of its own, or as the leading lady of the "fantastic romance" genre, which combines the fantasy and romance genres.

Magical girlfriends can be one or many in a single series (always attached to the protagonists). Because of the tendency for rivals to appear even when there is a 'spoken for' lead character and because of the unnatural gender balance among the cast, magical girlfriend comedies are often conflated with harem comedies. A good example of this conflation is 'Oh My Goddess!' which is often confused with one of the prototypical 'harem' titles", despite the short-lived nature of most of the romantic rivalries in the series.

Magical girlfriends initially derived from the US television series Bewitched, which was dubbed for the Japanese market. Sally the Witch was the first anime series inspired by Bewitched, leading to the popularity of magical girls in Japanese anime.

Slice of life stories with a supernatural twist, with characters usually falling into incidental perils thanks to supernatural or magical significant others or family members who bring all kinds of magical hi-jinx into the protagonist's lives.

Hi, do you feel down or depressed and you look for something to maybe cheer you up or lighten your mood? Look no further I’m gonna recommend few pieces to you! This list is from 90% folded from animes that I’ve seen, so they are for sure some pieces which would fit in, but I simply don’t know about them.

I won’t pick anything which is more like drama and depressing throughout the series although it has happy ending (Golden Time for example).
