They're both shounen-ai school-based and humorous. The general mood is similar too.

All-boy school. Hints of BL relationship. Similar set-ups. Similar situations. In a sense, the 2 series are basically "siblings". similarity: 4*

It's similar with the all boys acadamy and the transfer student thing. Princess Princess adds more of a comedy sense to the anime. In both animes most events are quite predictable, both animes leaves you wonder what happens after words. Hey now why not give it a chance ^^

The plot is VERY similar: main char. enrolls in an elite school and meets very interesting and good-looking guys, and tries to fit in. The only difference is, Ouran's main character is a girl, and GH's is a guy.

Both are shounen-ai animes and nice to watch. Both have so much depth in emotions. Loveless has more action, fighting etc...and a feeling of mystry in it (and a kind of sadness). Loveless and gakuen are very touching animes... especially loveless (....so full of love).

Both are lighthearted anime in a school setting featuring all-male casts. Both have similar character archetypes as well. Gakuen Heaven is a bit heavier on the shounen ai, but both the anime have several suggestive situations that lead to amusing episodes.

Gakuen Heaven is an all boys school that has someone who is normal transferred into the school because the chairman (or president) either knows or is familiar with that person. Even though it is a boy love anime it is basically the same thing with Gokujou Seitokai but with girls. If you liked Gokujou Seitokai (and don't mind a bit of shounen-ai) then you will like Gakuen Heaven and vice versa. Both are very funny with nice endings!

Shounen-ai with a solid plot: Gravitation and Gakuen Heaven fit the description. Gravitation deals with the world of music, fame, and a very stormy romantic relationship between male leads; Gakuen Heaven is a school drama used to explore the considerably calmer involvement of two boys in love. Those who thought that Yuki and Shuichi were too at odds with each other to be believable should check out Gakuen Heaven; those who thought that GH was simply not random and angsty enough should give Gravitation a go.

Gakuen Handsome frequently parodies shounen ai anime and games, especially Gakuen Heaven. Not only is there tons of boy's love in both series, they are both funny.

Both center around boys-only schools with students of exceptional skill, although Gakuen Heaven is more light-hearted and BL while Meine Liebe is more dramatic and immersed in European history.

Both are romantic, light and show the innocence of true love. Both anime are cute. The only difference is that gakuen heaven has BL content, while kimi ni todoke is harem.

both have a cute main male charecter guy suronded by other cute guys that like and protect the main charecter with a Shounen Ai element gakuen heaven more than kyo kara maoh

Both have a group of boy friends who go through struggles and make memories together.

Both are about BL and boths main characters have known each other in the past

Both are shounen-ai and take place in an academy. The boys only kiss; they dont have sex.

Cute characters and an adorable uke. Although there is absolutely no sex whatsoever in this 13-episode series, unless you count the "implied" sex at the end when Kazuki asks in Keita "enjoyed" their night together so much he coudn't get up in the morning, or the innuendos in the first few episdodes. Its a cute, chaste BL anime, based after a BL otome PC game.

BL. Hot guys although the animation style is kinda old. I'm not into Yaoi/ Yuri personally but I loved Super Lovers because of the plot and overall storyline and Ren is just so cute.

Basically the same but with killing: - an extremely lucky high school student as a protagonist, - a teddy bear is both schools' headmaster, - schools for extremely talented students, - difficult puzzles being solved solely by the students, - a lot of drama, - both are gay af.

Junjou Romantica is yaoi (profound Boys x Boys), while gakuen heaven is shounen-ai (light Boys x Boys). Both anime contain B.L content. Junjou Romantica is far less tamed than gakuen heaven, but both anime are extremely cute. Junjou Romantica deals with relationships between gay couples..., the insecurities in the relationships...and at last the trust and love that develops between the main characters. Gakuen heaven involves mainly on how the main characters end up together as a couple in a very innocent and cute way. Gakuen is more tamed (and has more beautiful characters) than the main characters in Junjou Romantica because in Junjou Romantica they  read more

Both have a really cute uke. The plots are different, but GH is set in a highschool, so they are around the same age. GH has very subtle themes and is good for someone starting out. It's light and fluffy.

Both animes are shounen ai. Kazuki has a pretty boy look like Viktor while Keita & Yuuri are mediocre compared to the people around them. The story & setting of the animes may not be alike but their are several elements that make both animes give off the same vibe. First, both Keita & Kazuki tries to belong in their community (new school/ skating competitors). Their motivation is the one they love and both their love interest are "supreme" in the story (like Viktor being the unbeaten champion). The love between the couple both started as platonic & admiration. In the process, their schoolmates/co-competitors helped  read more

Both anime are shounen-ai. The characters are perfectly built for both animes and the art is to the top levels. Both are great to watch and are suitable for all ages.

The character stereotypes are the same, and even the designs are similar. Otherwise, they are shows with a great amount of good looking guys engaging in school activities.

They both have the same kind of easy pace with a similar twist in the story. Both contain shounen-ai, but it is a bit more prominent in Gakuen Heaven.
report Recommended by lastnevertobe
Both are bishounen-filled, filler-filled, 12 episodes shoujo anime with a very thin and unsatisfying plot popping out around the last minute for a "dramatic" ending.

Gakuen Heaven and Junjou Romantica are yaoi romances set in a school environment. Plenty of humour and fluff dominate both titles. Gakuen Heaven, for all its innuendo, is considerably tame compared to more adult content in Junjou Romantica and both titles offer enough eye candy and comedy to share a common fanbase.

Shounen-ai in a school setting is the basic outline of both titles. Gakuen Heaven has lively artwork and develops a rather convoluted subplot along the way, while Lesson XX is rather bland in terms of artistic content and deals almost exclusively with romance. Both follow the first stages of a romantic relationship between two male characters, and lavish on dramatic moments.

They are both cute, crazy animes...they are all worth watching. These animes are suitable for all ages If you are satisfied after watching fruits basket, then Gakuen Heaven will also give you satisfaction. They are both pleasant, funny and great to watch. These animes are suitable for all ages .And believe me watching both anime will be a great experience. The emotional scenes in gakuen heaven are less compared to fruits basket. Gakuen heaven is an amazing boys x boys cute and beautiful anime. The story of gakuen heaven is more simple than fruits basket, but both anime are similar in their ability to show a certain  read more

In both anime, the main character tries to get back his/her loved one. Gakuen heaven is shounen-ai, while yami to boushi to hon no tabibito is shoujo-ai. both involves deep romantic emotions.

both are shounen-ai. Light BL. Both are watchable by all type of audiences.

They are both cute, crazy animes. These animes are suitable for all ages .And believe me watching both anime will be a great experience If you like the character of the boys in 'yamato...' then you will definetly those in gakuen heaven (the boys are even cuter)also. And yeah, the art ,cuteness and innocence are even better in gakuen heaven however 'yamato...' has much more comedy. There is a great similarity in both animes. Both animes puts you in the same mood. the story is about a girl surrounded by a pack of crazy and supposely beautiful guys while 'Gakuen heaven' is a boys X boys anime  read more

'Gakuen heaven' and 'please save my earth' contain much surprises. Both deals with emotional pasts and odd relationships. Both contain a certain level of mystry. There is much profoundness and oddness in the relationship between the main characters. 'Gakuen heaven' comprises of a spiritual and emotional link between the leads while 'please save my earth' comprises of spiritual and pyschic links . Both are great to watch and are suitable for all ages. Watching both animes will be a great experience.

Fumi no semi and gakuen heaven both contain BL. Both stories are very touching and emotional, especially 'Fuyu no Semi'. In both animes the love between the main characters are very apparent. Gakuen heaven is a very tamed shounen-ai anime. Fuyu no Semi has a very good plot with action, war, romance, separation and finally eternal love. In both anime there is separation. However gakuen heaven, being a sweet sweet and happy go-lucky BL anime, does provide with lots of entertainment. Fuyu no Semi is more realistic in terms of deeper emotions and separation. Fuyu no Semi is dammed touching, especially the last part. Watching both  read more
