Collection of series that feature, provide commentary and explore themes heavily related to Cultural, Political, Religious, Sociological or Economic fields and the impact that those fields and processes that they contain have to the general population.

Anime about poor people, including both comedy and satire, as well as drama or melodrama. Shows where this topic is one of the subplots are also included. The plot of such shows usually either sympathetically depicts the problems that a poor person may face, or show the peculiarities of the thinking of such people, or how they try to deceive others by pretending to be rich.

Series that utilize philosophical approach when it comes to their portrayal of society. Usually featuring "outsider" perspective as a main vehicle for the exploration of the "society" and the philosophy.

Essentially a character that acts outside of the "society", that is at focus of the series, as far as the philosophy of the character goes when it comes to approaching the society. This role can also be called as the "observer". A role that acts as a tool for the audience to be able to gain understanding of the contrast of the philosophies of the "observer" and the supposed "society".

This approach enables that the audience is able to experience the contrast of these two philosophical approaches when it comes to the society and is able to experience often both sides the "observer" and the supposed "society" that is approached through the eyes of the "observer".

These series often also propose an alternative approach to the philosophy that is in contrast with the approach of the "observer" and present us an alternative way of seeing the "observer" through the eyes of the supposed "society"

Shows with some silly characters living in an apartment/boarding house type building together

Some of the all time best in the SoL genre, many of which are also comedies, but not necessarily focused solely around being funny. Lots of Cute Girls Doing Cute Things as well as some romantic comedies !

Anime similar in tone or aesthetic to the 1998 anime "Serial Experiments Lain"

These openings are the most unusual openings among all openings. They might either tell you nothing about what the anime is about or tell you in the most criptic way possible. They might use unusual music or animation.

Sequels aren't included.

CGDCT = Cute Girls Doing Cute Things
This subgenre focuses mostly on cute characters and mundane, slice-of-life situations.
They contain a female cast doing cute things in their daily lives. But with this stack, there are some shows that elevate the subgenre.

Unironically the best shows for "cute girls doing cute things", IN CUTE WAYS!!
It's a win-win for everyone. (I am not including sequels. Though with some of these series, the sequels are better imho)

Por algum motivo esses animes me passam um feeling comum entre eles, uma vibe meio de um anime não muito conhecido e que é mais diferentão. Talvez algo que fuja um pouco do design batido de uns animes mais populares. Não uma fuga total, mas algo... diferente, eu acho.
