Interest StacksThese anime are mostly set at restaurants, cafes or bars. The characters are either working there, are frequent customers, or have yet another connection with these places. The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place every October in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards. Shows/movies where an advanced A.I. is a main character (usually as an android) or the show focuses on the dilemma surrounding their existence. When you think about it, humanity isn't that far away from achieving it. When I first started watching anime, I thought anime was basically a kind of animation with a unique art style. But now I am seeing that most anime comes with a lot of tropes, and a lot of people see these tropes as part of anime. I am not a fan of these tropes, so I am making a list of anime that I like, and I feel have a relatively low amount of tropes, at least compared to most other anime. These style trends were often found in darker, more adult anime, though some lighter-hearted productions could fall under the "Y2K Art Style" label as well. They just don't make anime that look like this anymore! Underrated Anime Movies or OVA or Short Films or Short Animated Videos (could be a really great music video). |
