Both of them have special weapons/ability and both of them are participating on a tournament... If you like MAR, you like Ueki as well...

Both anime are about a magical tournament.

They have very similar storylines. They are both about different worlds in a war, both have a lot of adventure. Make new friends and more. I think they both are great anime.

Well the charcters on these show are similar. Naruto acts like genta, Sasuke acts like Alvis, Shikamaru acts like jack, and sakura acts like snow as well as hinata. They act the same by the way they fight, their attitude towards people, and their efforts to others as well as fight. Naruto is similar to Genta by the way they fight, the fight even if they might not be able to win in the end. The eat alot as well like someone who likes some on else. Sasuke is like Alvis because of their same atitude towards people. They don't wantto show any weakness toward the one the  read more

In both of them a kid that had a regular life is thrown in a fantasy world. But, in MÄR they actually fight, and the kid was a nobody with no talent originally, While on Dog Days it's about acrobatics and he already knew how to do them beforehand.

Yu Yu Hakusho is similar in its constant progression of shounen glory in which "good" faces off against "evil" and as the enemies get stronger, the characters of justice follow suite and up their powers with each battle and training they undertake. However, I prefered Yu Yu Hakusho in its complex story line, but enjoyed MAR nontheless, and am confident if you like Yu Yu Hakusho you will also enjoy MAR.

Both animes taking away the main boy character to a different world.

They both have a lot of fighting and the characters improve their abilities throughout the series. They also get their powers from jewelry/objects (khr has rings while MAR has other jewelry). The main protagonists personalities are different but what they fight for is very similar.

There is definatley a similarity, Jibak is just like Bappo with the "slaves" thing and There both great

Both shows have tournaments, and both have a group of villains. In Kinnikuman Nisei it's the dmP where as in MAR it's the Chess Pieces.

Both protagonists find themselves drawn into a alternate reality. Both shows are comedic in its presentations with absurd weapons. In MAR the protagonist uses a talking morphing toy to fight with (main form being a giant hammer/mace). In Ixion Saga DT he uses an Alma sword that transforms into a giant rock-et hammer/sword... The humor in MAR is very Shonen-esque and quite typical. From what I've seen of DT the humor is more geared for young adults. One of the main antagonists names is Erecpyle Dukakis...or abbreviated to E.D. as a double entendre on the name E.D. to mean both the  read more

This two shows are similar in the context of a fight a week formula, the actual plot for both shows are actually very thin and yet because of those fights from different casts per week, both animes could actually last very show. Yet at the same time, if you are bored and have nothing to do, watching either of it is alright.

Main characters are sent to another world. Both are OP and have to enter into a game. Lots of magic, fighting, and comedy. They can't go back to their world till the game is complete.

The main characters are similar, both anime contain tournaments and both protagonists have their fathers gone missing. They give you a really similar feeling being both happy and childish but sometimes really mature and sad.

Both are involving magic and there also a cute girls character in both anime!!

MAR and Magi are similar in the idea of using different forms of magic and taking a optimistic approach to facing dark situations from fairy tale stories. Both cast of characters are very alike in having comedic personalities but a lot of depth within their actual backgrounds.

Teens go on adventures and have to fight baddies with their own special abilities. They also have 1v1 battles like in MÄR. Includes friendship themes and moving stories that are quite central to MÄR. Main characters of both series have similar vibes.

both of these anime's are Shounen and there both somewhat magical they both have a lot of friendship speeches but the similarity between the two is mostly based on the fact that there both about a game to win back peace :D there both verry good anime's and i suggest watching them both :)

The characters in Mar really resemble the main characters in One piece and they are all fighting for a goal. In Mar its to bring peace to Mar by defeating the Chess Pieces in a fighting contest(DBZ kinda thing) while in One Piece it's to find One Piece the ultimate pirate treasure (title is main goal :) ~Luffy/Ginta who are similar. They are both the leader as well. ~Zoro/Alviss both don't like the leader at 1st but they come to. Similar personalities ~Usuop/Jack seem really weak at 1st but they both want to get stronger. ~Nami/Dorothy are both sort of thieves and they try to con Luffy/Ginta when  read more

Both from the same creator and VERY similar. Both stories are focused around tournament fights and special weapons. MAR seems to be geared towards a younger audience, though.

-both characters enter a new world in which they realize they have hidden powers. -both of them end up having to save the "other" world, which ends up them having to save their own world too. -both of them start by saving a specific girl, then the world.
