These are some pretty good psychological anime series and movies.. Some are new and some are a little older. Enjoy!

The romance as a genre in it's typical sense, is a hit or miss for most of us, and this is understandable. Each of us has different outlook on life, our experience had shaped our personalities by particular ways and the way we comprehend the fragile and gentle feelings of affection within ourselves is something very personal.

But then again some stories, despite not having entirely romantic focus, can portray relationships in dynamic sense and with appropriate narrative depth. Series like these rarely gets the spotlight for this reason and are oftenly skipped by people who're usually interested solely in the romance aspect of the plots, which is one of the reasons this collection was made - as a showcase of various well written and emotionally expressive bonds of love.

The mentioned works are with broad range of genres, themes and moods, but in each of them one can find a well handled hint of, if not well explored, romance. As well as that, some romances that are breaking the mold of the usual adaptations are included, since they're rarely well explored within the medium and deserve our attention.

An anime that's main story focus have romance relationship between blood-related male and female characters (not in-law family member).

This is stack of predominantly non-comedic, Slice of Life anime. These anime are not entirely devoid of comedic elements, but comedy features rather sparsely and isn't a key plot-device. Some of the anime featured here uses the opportunity to deal with and provides an insight into complex subject matters, ranging from Depression to Gender-identity, in a realistic and humane way.

This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious).

Where siblings, cousins, or those of close relations have romantic thoughts about one another, whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing. Either way, it's a type of love story some may enjoy.

A show with different kinds of toxic protagonists. However, although not in all cases, MCs often get better as the story progresses.

Anime for a common audience that includes representation of marginalized communities without being narrowly focused queer or quuerbaiting content. The purpose of the list is to try and neutrally compile a list of shows with a diverse cast that isn't subject to the heavy fascination with ships and other wishful thinking. Therefore, you will not see any "heavily hinted" and other typical speculation for such stocks here.

Warning, for some of the included shows, this topic, as well as its image, may be a spoiler. Also, English is not my native language, so if my vocabulary in describing a particular topic may sound problematic, feel free to let me know. I will correct the text as soon as possible.

This list is targeted to people who have little time to spend on watching anime but they already have watched the popular ones. Anime in this list have occult following but they are not well-known in the public. Hope you'll be joining these occult followings by enjoying some of the following anime.
Also, this list is a challenge of shorts so that you won't stop watching just from the first episode and be able to have a better understanding of the anime you are watching.

stories of siblings being more than just siblings with one another as a main focus in the series (not necessarily romantic, though a lot of these are). everything goes from mild brocon/siscon to almost hentai. (no actual hentai is included.)

these anime are organized roughly in order from most wholesome to most perverted. i also include a short synopsis of each one along with some useful info, hopefully it can be helpful in picking a new show to watch. just keep in mind that not all of this is worth watching, i just want to give you all the options.

i only included the main entry [with one exception, for good reason] if a series has multiple seasons/ovas/movies etc. (no stacking the list with random ovas here!)

I created this interest stack to show you some of the gems that are hidden here, it's not always easy to find these animes or get a recommendation to watch some of them, I hope you like them as much as I do, thank you for those who read this far and good anime.

I have watched every show on this list and i have ranked them in my personal viewing experience and not in amount of incest, for example elfen lied have cousins complex and it is not that much but I still ranked it high
