New Interest Stack
Interest Stacks![]() ![]() Yuri anime are been popular and booming. The main plot of these series are the relationship between the girls. Today I decided to create an Interest Stack containing some of the most interesting series in this genre. ![]() ![]() If you've ever seen an anime and thought, "Wow, this anime has really good background art", and "Wow, this episode preview at the end looks amazing!" chances are it was made by Shichiro Kobayashi. An icon of Japanese animation, Kobayashi has had a fruitful career spanning over thirty years as the art director for several iconic shows. While known generally for his vibrant and highly detailed palettes, Kobayashi brought the animation technique known as "postcard memories" or "harmonies" to life alongside director and innovator Osamu Dezaki and character designer Akio Sugino, which are cels of animation superimposed with gouache to give off a lasting image. ![]() ![]() Explicitly Cannon Couples and Hard Subtext Shows. Subtext shows listed here have substantial content and not just a little bit of teasing here and there. Subtext can also be an unspoken focal point of the series. These are shows I can actually recommend and like enough to suggest checking out. ![]() ![]() the best gl (yuri) anime genre that are worth to watch and i recommend 100%, good stuff, soft, good representation, etc etc. ![]() ![]() Various types of series that involve some sort of LGBT representation, be it in characters, relationships, plots, etc. ![]() ![]() jXcileJ: You want Romance?? ![]() ![]() This is stack of predominantly non-comedic, Slice of Life anime. These anime are not entirely devoid of comedic elements, but comedy features rather sparsely and isn't a key plot-device. Some of the anime featured here uses the opportunity to deal with and provides an insight into complex subject matters, ranging from Depression to Gender-identity, in a realistic and humane way. ![]() ![]() Anime that looks like a painting, sorted from A to Z. Mostly watercolor or pastel style with soft and soothing color palette. This list doesn't include anime with a Ghibli-esque style or any sequels. Feel free to comment on my profile if you have some suggestions, and enjoy :) ![]() ![]() A curated list of anime I think every Yuri and GL fan should watch at some point. ![]() ![]() I love trains. Only if a character rides a train, not just a train is on screen. Although that is cool too. As I find them, I will add them to the list. ![]() ![]() The yuri anime genre unfortunately has a reputation for creating relationships between female characters that are incredibly ambiguous. This is a list of anime in which the romantic/sexual relationship between the two girls is very clear (and not one-sided). The girls in question should be major characters and their relationship should be one of if not the biggest driving point(s) of the show. No hentai titles, as adding even one would get the whole list marked nsfw. Some representation on this list is better than others, and I have provided an opinion under each title. |
