Butai ni Tatte (On the Stage) is a music video for YOASOBI's song. It was used for NHK Sports Theme 2024 for various sports broadcasts of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The song was based on the original novels The Distance to You, Parallel Lane, The Never-ending Deuce novelized by Jun Esaka and can be read on YOASOBI's official site. The novels were based on the Shounen Jump+ one-shots Hanareta Futari (The Distance to You) by Taizan 5 about football, Parallel Lane by Yuki Kirishima about swimming and Owaranai Deuce (The Never-ending Deuce) by Haruno Hirusagari about tennis. The song was released on July 26, 2024, the day of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and the MV on Aug 6, 2024. Natsu ga Hajimaru was released on Jul 16, 2021, a week before the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, as a promo for CalorieMate. It follows high school students participating in various sports amid the pandemic. Both have meaningful lyrics and message on top of the colorful visuals and display various art styles from multiple animators as well as various sports disciplines and the athletes' struggles. read more
