Both have similar atmospheres of cozy fantasy. They both feature reincarnated isekai lead women who use their second life to become passionate experts in a new magical field of their choosing, both worlds are pretty peaceful but have a dedicated army to fend off monster attacks, both feature MLs in said army that also happen to be aristocrats, both women become influential in their fields and entangled with the upper class/royalty in some way. If you enjoy one, you'll probably enjoy the other as they share a lot of similar DNA while being different enough from each other to not feel derivative.

If you enjoyed either "Dahlia in Bloom" or "Sugar Apple Fairy Tale," you'll likely find the other just as captivating. Both series feature strong, independent female protagonists—Dahlia and Anne—who navigate worlds where magic is an integral part of daily life. They both face personal and societal challenges while pursuing their dreams, whether it's mastering the craft of magical tools or becoming a Silver Sugar Master. What adds an extra layer of intrigue is how both Dahlia and Anne find themselves in competition with, or needing to put in their place, male characters like Jonas and Tobias. These men, whether as rivals or obstacles, challenge the protagonists'  read more

In both a woman dies and is reincarnated in a fantasy world, where they end up using their knowledge of modern ammenities to re-invent them for their new world and sell them. There's some difference in that Ascendance of a Bookworm has a little more story and since Myne's a child obviously it doesn't have romance like Dahlia in Bloom does. But most of the basics are about the same, and they're both fairly whimsical and fun watches.

The romance is not a forced point, both FL have bright red hair, just because a man and a woman are close didn't mean they couldn't have a friends to lovers rather than lovey dovey immediately. The ML and FL try to support each other without expecting anything in return and there is mutual respect
