New Interest Stack
Interest StacksWorldbuilding - "the process of constructing a world, originally an imaginary one, sometimes associated with a fictional universe." These kinds of shows are usually set in a fantasy and/or sci-fi world, and excel at establishing & showcasing the rules/history/economy of their fictional universe. List was created through collective data from multiple websites of people's answers as to what shows are considered to have great world building. Critics & Connoisseurs was a club that was founded in 2008 and ended club activities on the 31st of 2022. What I look for the most in an anime above everything else is high-quality writing. That's not to say that manga, visual novel, and light novel adaptations are written poorly; in fact, there are some that have incredible, masterfully-crafted storylines. I have simply personally found that some of the most unforgettable series for me have been novel adaptations. Only series that are ranked below 2,000 in 'Popularity' on MAL. Important! Do not read below this line, if you do not want to know what's common among the series. Other than that, there are no spoilers. Continuation of my previous list of anime series not so well known for their titles, some not necessarily underestimated, but easy to go unnoticed in the community. This is stack of predominantly non-comedic, Slice of Life anime. These anime are not entirely devoid of comedic elements, but comedy features rather sparsely and isn't a key plot-device. Some of the anime featured here uses the opportunity to deal with and provides an insight into complex subject matters, ranging from Depression to Gender-identity, in a realistic and humane way. More anime to breathe a little fresh air. None of the titles in this stack take place in real locations, but they all have settings inspired by a specific Asian culture or mix of cultures. This is a list of anime that fall under the 'Cottagecore' aesthetic. The Cottagecore aesthetic romanticizes nature, the countryside and slow living. It consists of peaceful pastoral locations, homemade crafts, and traditional homesteading activities such as cooking, picnicking, gardening, forging, care-taking, etc. These are the best works anime can offer. A list of anime that primarily feature badass women protagonists who learn, grow and hold their own. As fanservice free as possible, though mature themes are prevalent. This collection of series, movies and shorts represent a specific mood, expressed within the anime media. Their pace is most likely slow, and are usually focused at the complex emotional web that surrounds the worlds and characters that are within them. This stack will be fullfilled with the best animes released recently since 2000 and has a collection of dense/provocative themes with inventive ideas that you don't see frequently and also has the power to provoke a sensation of joy or angst. |
