Both are satirical takes on a Power Rangers-like setting, but this is less drama and more romcom with a villain and a ranger being in love.

We follow the villains of a classic Japanese Saturday morning kids show being the main focus, deconstruct the hero and meaning of heroism while providing a show not at all suitible for younger audiences. Both are homage-parodies where the studio put lots of care in, showing their love for the genre.

When I first started watching Loser Ranger it immediately reminded me of Tiger & Bunny, especially with how fights between heroes and villains are broadcasted for everyone to see. The public plays an integral part in the status of heroes or rangers. Both also show that what people see on screen isn't exactly what is seen behind closed doors; some of the "good guys" really aren't that "good" behind the scenes. Both shows allow you to experience the thrilling and nerve wracking point of view of an impostor infiltrating a group of powerful individuals and pretending to be friends with everyone while hiding their true identity and true motives. Both shows are very exciting and have the same vibe as playing a game of Among Us.

The idols or heroes that people look up to are deceiving the people that admire them. The premise of both shows at first makes it seem a bit simple and silly, yet if you give them time you notice how everything is not black and white. By doing that, both shows give depth to the genre they represent. If you like shows like these give them a try. Animation is well done in both shows as well.
