Canal Sur Andalucía is a public broadcasting TV station based in Andalusia, Spain. This TV station aired different anime series in the programming block for kids known as "La Banda" or as a standalone series.

Some well known series and sequels of already listed series have been removed to fit the stack limit.

The best Shoujo anime that aired before 2005

These are the animes that targets the young girls of all generations, well recommended ones for fans of shoujo and josei magazine. These animes made me feel a young girl's vibes, even I'm not the target audience. It's because I'm a boy XD Complete variations of genres that shoujo/josei fans might truly enjoy.

These animes were the landmarks in anime industry. Critically acclaimed shows and popular for its story, characters, development, and the amazing experience that the audience might feel. Some of them are old and modern, but it has the same level of "masterpiece" that I've seen so far.

- (Recent update) Edited the list so that characters who's sexuality is more "up for debate" are now written down as MLM/WLW instead of the mouthful Gay/Bi/Pan (which I'd forget to write in some places anyway)

- All nonbinary people are transgender. If a character is described as nonbinary instead of trans it's just to specify that that's what the anime more heavily points at.

- For the "not BL/GL" rule I went with whatever the anime is tagged as on MAL (though some of these I believe should've been tagged when they're not...). List might change as MAL keeps editing stuff.

B. (starts with Utena) I've only seen Madoka Magica and I want to learn more about the genre, but idk if I'm ready for kids' shows.
If at the end you're ready to explore the mahou shoujo genre in full force, jump to Category A.

A. (starts with Precure) I like cute stuff and the magical girls aesthetic, and I can actually handle stuff aimed at little girls.
If at the end this isn't enough for you, congrats, you're into mahou shoujo and you should start doing your own research.

Anime that were referenced in the iconic masterpiece that is The Anime Club

Classic 20th-century series and films that most old-school otaku have heard of and many older fans will cite as the reason they became a life-long weeb in the first place. Some have gotten sequels or modern reboots, while others have been relegated to the past and stand alone as fondly-remembered products of their time.
