Action/Mystery genre involving the supernatural, set in a Victorian-esque world.

If you've watched Black Butler, then you'll definitely love this anime! The dynamic of the characters, plot themes, and overall "attitude" of these shows are so so similar. They're both pretty dark in color, and mood, so if you like the classy, cold, clever vibe...just watch it. P.S THIS ANIME ONLY HAS 12 EPS RN.. you've been warned!

Both shows feature secret society/organization members solve various "magic"-adjacent crimes. Overall tone and ambiguously old-but-not-very-much, dark fantasy aesthetics are similar. Also, a minor thing, both feature a character that usually can't exist in their "true form" and kisses as a form of magical ritual.

The vibe of the shows is quite alike, in both cases, the protagonists are members of an organization that aims to maintain order and peace among citizens and the plot develops with their missions. The Witch and the Beast is set in a fantasy world, the characters are super interesting and the art style is stunning, while Psycho-Pass is more of a sci-fi work. In my opinion, the story-telling is similar, I would recommend both animes for thriller and seinen enthusiasts.

Both of animes go around 1/2main characters that go around the world and solve cases that they need to involve themselves. In both cases they fight supernatural creatures (Blood+ - vampires/ Majo to Yajuu - witches). In each of the anime the main male character carries a coffin in the back.

Both feature organizations hunting and fighting witches and people with powers using their own powers and a variety of weapons. Both anime have a gothic tone to them, though Witch Hunter Robin is very much a product of its time (a good thing in my opinion). The anime have a lot of similarities -- people with powers fighting, organized task forces, and individual smaller plots tying into an over-arching narrative. Witch Hunter Robin is a whole team with a detective edge to things, whereas Majo to Yajuu is a team of two and is more urban fantasy. If you liked one though then check out  read more

Setting and vibes are similar... plus magic, battles, beasts and a mysterious backstory to be unraveled.
