The Oofuji Noburou Award (大藤信郎賞) is an animation award given at the Mainichi Film Awards. It is named after Japanese animator Noburou Oofuji. Finding an anime that you can watch with your family can prove to be a daunting challenge, for newcomers and veterans alike. Even wholesome anime sometimes has that one awkward surprise shower scene, and plenty of action-packed shounen have a fight scene that goes over the top in gore. This list contains all movies that aren't related with any anime series. (Pre 2014) Anime that have way too many cute moments or those who have some cute moments. PM me to add/remove any :) These are the family based films and films can be watched together with your family. Who said your parents and sibling can't watch anime? Of course, they can too. As long it's decent XD Jokes aside, here is my collection of animes films that your family might enjoy too. In most anime, when a main character dies, it either serves to some greater narrative purpose, or the other characters try to revive or reincarnate them. For example, in Attack on Titans, Eren's initial motivation was to swear revenge on titans after seeing his mother snapped in two. In Angel Beats as in the movie Colorful, the characters are given a second chance. In Orange, the premise of the characters magically getting a level from their future selves give them an opportunity to prevent the would-be death. Classic 20th-century series and films that most old-school otaku have heard of and many older fans will cite as the reason they became a life-long weeb in the first place. Some have gotten sequels or modern reboots, while others have been relegated to the past and stand alone as fondly-remembered products of their time. If you want to take a journey through anime history, these shows are the place to start! Cottegecore stories harken back to simpler times and a simpler way of living. Many stories center on the idea of a simple life of self-sufficiency in harmony with nature, or characters having adventures in a pretty cottegecore environment. Cottegecore is often influenced by the romanticization of the European countryside in historical times, but may also take place in the woods, mountains, or other rustic locations in any time period. Aesthetics often include rural landscapes, cottages, and other dwellings surrounded by flowers and nature, boys in overalls and girls in old-fashioned dresses, lush forests, and low-tech items and furniture from olden times. These 20th century series and animated films take place in the countryside, forest, or other rural location. A small collection of Anime that aired in the late 90s / early-mid 2000s on German television. Let's face it, we all have that one friend who has a prejudice against anime. A list devoted to the subgenre of anime best described as propaganda to make the Japanese have babies. These are some of the best titles for those who’re just getting into anime. These series have good plots/characters that make good introductions to the world of anime. SBS - the free to air channel with actual international content that everyone either spends 5 minutes watching or 3 hours watching, no in-between. They used to air a fair bit of anime alongside their normally scheduled programming, and you might even be able to catch a few Ghibli films every now and then today. |
