New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThank you user for the idea. But I feel you got the saga wrong. Let me help you add to it. (also in canon order) Denpa as a genre usually refers to Japanese artistic works with themes associated with social isolation, existentialism, insanity that stems from living modern society, and the glorification of otaku/outsider cultures. Examples of denpa in other mediums include the films of Hideaki Anno (Love and Pop, Ritual) and the films of Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou), as well as the visual novel Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-hole. Although none of these anime have a tag/theme that denotes them as psychological, they all use cinematographic tactics often seen in psychological media to explore different aspects of the human condition and tackle atypical and philosophical topics. This stack is an ultimate starter pack if you are looking for anime with genius protagonists or characters with considerably high IQ. If mind games and intelligent moments are your go-to interests, this is the perfect stack for you. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Mystery anime that center around a series of deaths, assaults, or disappearances that are somehow connected. Possibly feature: serial killers, organized crime, supernatural elements, etc. girls who are possessive & obsessive of their crush/partner Just trust me and pick one which peaks your interest the most. You won't regret it. These are shows which are amazing, each in their own way, however they were never finished. The list doesn't include shows that new seasons have been announced like Spice & Wolf (thank God for the new season). The sooner the better, Japan! Don't have time? These are the anime for you! Anime with less than 6 episodes. Their stories are complete (you won't feel like it ended with a cliffhanger) and really enjoyable. For people who love anime but don't have too much time to watch them. Here is a list of the best animes I have seen, within these subgenres. A compilation of anime that began airing during the month of February. The OVA market dried up as straight to video releases became a thing of the past, which is unfortunate because a lot of interesting and unique anime were released in this format. The point of the list is to feature worthwhile OVAs that are more than just fanservice or shoddy extras for TV series. Sigh, due to the explicit content warning feature, I've excluded Mezzo Forte, but it would be on here otherwise. I should also probably make room for Yukikaze at some point. An assorted stack of anime series with some talented detectives and mind-boggling mysteries to uncover. Highly recommended for fans who love to put on a thinking cap and wrap their head around, trying to unravel secrets alongside the protagonists. Anime with a focus on serial killers, or at least that have a serial killer as a main plot point in the show. Heisei Internet Anxiety refers to a cultural phenomenon in Japan that emerged in the late 1990s and early 2000s, during the Heisei era (1989-2019), characterized by a sense of unease and disconnection brought on by the rise of the internet and digital technology. Standalone OVAs from 2000-2009. |
