There are many music related anime out there, but music is a rather broad term. Some anime focus more on the singing aspect, others more on the stage show, and some anime are just music videos. This stack is a collection of music related anime where instruments play a larger role. Some characters are simply learning to play these instruments, others play in a band or they use them for special occasions. All kinds of instruments are collected here, such as the piano and keyboard, violins and guitars, brass instruments (trumpet, tuba, trombone, horn, etc.), fluets and others.

self-explanatory title; those anime have a character that plays one or more musical instruments in a leading role. which means that idol/singer anime aren't included.

no sequels.

I watched all of these anime during Spring 2023

Top anime (in my opinion)

New in Spring 2023
Top 1. Oshi no Ko, It's a big mistake to think that this is an idol anime with a music genre (like I was fooled by the title and cover of the comic), because this is about showbiz, behind the fun, smiles, laughter of artists/idols/people in showbiz, there are The dark side of that world, this anime is really interesting because it is related to real life, cases like bullying, stalking, evil comments from netizens, etc.
Top 2. Mashle, the MC doesn't have magic powers in a world that uses magic, so he uses muscle power, this anime is really entertaining
Top 3. Yamada-kun to Lv 999 no Koi wo suru, a romcom anime where in my opinion every scene, especially the atmosphere, is made in detail about the feelings of FL, ML, etc.
The story is about FL who broke up but wanted to take revenge on her ex through an offline meeting in the game Forest of Savior, but there FL meets a real ML figure where her character is in the same guild as FL

Sequel:
Top 1. DR. STONE: NEW WORLD
When modern humans have to experience the stone age again, every episode always makes me curious, what other ideas do Senku and his friends have, what other actions, what else to make, it's really exciting
Top 2. KIMETSU NO YAIBA: KATANAKAJI NO SATO HEN
The animation is really good but in my opinion it's not as exciting as the previous arc in the Dr Stone anime. I also don't really like the use of 3D in action/people/monsters but the use of moves in this anime is still good

Completed Series: HATARAKI MAN
FL who works at a magazine, always prioritizes his work, can change to hataraki man mode (working man) but doesn't have romance, but the question is related to real life

Movie: BLACK CLOVER: MAHOU TEI NO KEN
Former magic emperor vs magic knight
It's really epic, the animation quality of the film is really good, maybe if it was in the cinema it would be better 🤣
In my opinion, the anime movie is mixed canon, even though the author made it, but the storyline of the movie doesn't affect the main story of the manga, aka it wasn't adapted from the manga, even though the characters are the same.
From the first minute to the end the war continues

Notes: I have definitely watched/read the anime/manga that I give a rating
I will not give a rating below 5, Rating 5 for me = 1, >8 = recommended
if it's not good for me, the status "Dropped" and no rating

Top Anime Opening songs of Spring 2023 (in my opinion)
1. Kizuna no kiseki by MAN WITH A MISSION ft Milet (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato Hen)
2. Cantabile by Novelbright (Ao No Orchestra)
3. Shayou by Yorushika (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu)

Top Anime Ending Songs of Spring 2023 (in my opinion)
1. Always and Forever by Serra (Kanojo ga Koushaku tei ni Itta Riyuu)
2. Kamihitoe by Uru (Jigokuraku)
3. Fireworks by MindaRyn (Kanojo ga Koushaku tei ni Itta Riyuu Ending 2)

Adolescence is the most significant period of change in our lives, a fleeting yet intense stage where we begin to discover who we really are. It’s the moment when innocence starts to fade, and experience takes its place, shaping the identity and personality that will accompany us for the rest of our lives.

This collection brings together anime that capture the essence of growing up through real, relatable stories. These series dive into the emotional, social, and psychological struggles of adolescence and young adulthood, exploring themes like self-esteem, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, personal growth, first love, passion, and the search for purpose.

With powerful messages, life lessons, and moments of introspection, these stories reflect the beauty and complexity of coming of age, a journey of change that defines us and pushes us toward the future.

There are so many anime with the title "Blue Something", so I made this list compiling them. For it to count, the english name must have only two words, with the first one being "Blue"

As more of them release, I'll update this list

You have already watched tons of popular anime. Now it is time for you to watch some underrated or uncommon titles. Here are some anime that are not popular but has really good story. I selected them based on number of members (Less than 600000) as of "12th January 2024". Enjoy, I will update the anime descriptions later as i don't have time right now.
