Anime can be more than the same one trick pony we see time and time again... A medium for varied and complex approaches to storytelling. English dubs that I found to be really good and are at least comparable to (if not better than) their subbed counterparts. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). This list includes very unique and artsy anime that are around one episode in length, so anything between 20 to 50 minutes. So movies and really short stuff are excluded. Probally not the best, nor my favorite as a halloween lover as well as an anime lover, I always love horror/halloween themed anime. with October coming in less than a month, why not put out some halloween watches? Just trust me and pick one which peaks your interest the most. You won't regret it. Don't have time? These are the anime for you! Anime with less than 6 episodes. Their stories are complete (you won't feel like it ended with a cliffhanger) and really enjoyable. For people who love anime but don't have too much time to watch them. Here is a list of the best animes I have seen, within these subgenres. The OVA market dried up as straight to video releases became a thing of the past, which is unfortunate because a lot of interesting and unique anime were released in this format. The point of the list is to feature worthwhile OVAs that are more than just fanservice or shoddy extras for TV series. Sigh, due to the explicit content warning feature, I've excluded Mezzo Forte, but it would be on here otherwise. I should also probably make room for Yukikaze at some point. |
